Current News

Queen of Zhah of the gargoyle Royal City has been distressed as of late, concerning the return of the most formidable and horrid servant of the Void. Named Scelestus the Defiler, this daemon proved invincible to any weapon or spell wielded against him. The daemon was ultimately imprisoned on the hidden Athenaeum Isle. The queen has deployed a regiment of troops to the isle in the past few days. We will report on further developments as we recieve word from our contacts in Ter Mur.

Town of Yew

On June 19th, 1998 A group gathered at the famed Serpent Cross Tavern and spoke of forming a town council for the Town of Yew.

This past Sunday marked the 13th anniversary of the organization that many people and guilds were apart of over the years. Happy Birthday Yew! By Giles Freeman, Reporter.

YEW ABBEY: I remember the day I found them, a stack of hide-bound books, soaked through in the rain. The monks had thrown them from the library, but whatever scribe had been tasked with this had cared for the books in the end and covered them in a tent of leather as they lay there for someone to find. That someone was me. I picked up the books and carried them home, dryed them carefully in wool cloth by the fireside as the storm bore down upon the City of Yew. When I opened them, I found out why the monks had cast these books out. It was raving madness, the loose hand of a drunk, the sort of "literature" known popularly as a "lie-bill," those plastered handbills that litter the landscape giving salacioius details about public figures. It was all written by Garrett Granth, once a proud Guardian of Lore, now reduced to drunken debauchery and running a wretched "publishing company." The tale told was, to me, at the time, nothing more than mad conspiracy-mongering. He claimed many things about the upcoming King Addie, Or Adamu Wellings. Wellings had been kept safe by the mysterious Time Lord after the destruction of Magincia. Granth had gone to great lengths to uncover scraps of paper and fact surviving the destruction of the Isle, and these few pieces had led his whiskey-addled mind to an astonishing conclusion: That Adamu Wellings, soon to be crowned King of Sosaria after a bitter debate in the castle proper, was in fact one of these mysterious Time Lords, or some tool or servant thereof! Most rational folk, myself included, shook off these rambling claims. Wellings was chosen by The Crux Ansastra, by Danica herself, and had proven himself above his origins - being found by a Time Lord in a Temporal Vortex - time and time again. So imagine my surprise reports came in from the Crowning. So shocked was I that I dropped my dinner to the floor and spilled the ale! The Crowning had been interrupted by none other than the Time Lord, who had taken those assembled on a wild chase through the Realms of Mana and Void, finally revealing a horrific result: That Adamu WAS the Time Lord, displaced through space and time via his own incomprehensible powers! The ramblings of the madman made sense in this light, and the once-young Adamu, now aged and infirm, made his way to the Magincia he loved as a youth, where he shall watch it become a town again. The boy who would be king, a Time Lord? The drunk who none believed, now correct? The babe found is now an old man? This reporter does not know what to think anymore. Throw away what you believed, dear reader, for it is most certainly wrong!

This Month's Horoscope

The Peddler-January Good luck is on your side today, because you're tapped into a sense of higher purpose...jacking up the prices on your Luna vendors.

The Mongbat-February People will be watching you more in the following days...most often at the bank..pointing at your crappy armor.

The Phoenix-March Remember. Others admire a person who is straightforward and genuine. Work on faking those qualities and you'll earn tons of respect. The Sea Dragon-April Today is a good time to be bold and take chances. See that thing over there? Go poke it with a stick.

The Hermit-May Try to make it a point to improve your memory skills or write things down more often. All your plants are dead

The Ancient Wyrm-July You have the attention of a certain person. You'll build this person's excitement and anticipation by not asking for what you want right off the bat. Then at that moment, you will strike and crush that person's dreams. The Anvil-August The routine gets boring. That is, until you arrive on the scene to provide refreshing alternatives ...and booze.

The Weaver-September It's time to start rebuilding some of those bridges you burned lately. Stupid Pyromaniac!

The Wisp-October Grampa's running around the neighborhood naked again. Looks like It's your turn to bring him back.

The Unicorn-November You've never been the type to believe in love at first sight, or anything else even slightly romantic, for that matter.

The Wanderer-December Tonight, supper will be waiting for you. A dish of roasted chicken with potatoes. A fresh baked apple pie is cooling. But someone forgot to goto the local tinker and get more plates. That's when the fightin' starts.

Figure out which month you were born on, to know your sign.
