Title: Visitor's Guide to Luna

Author: Lady Oblivion

In all my wand'rings from realm to realm, I have found Luna to be a quite magestic and wonderful place indeed. In the following volume, I will inform ye of the different facts of this fair city. Hang on to your kilts and feathered caps, for we are going on a journey!

Chapter One - Townsfolk

The folk of Luna are a businesslike sort. Many of them being quite successful entrepreneurs. It has been noted through the passage of time that if you need something...anything, you can find it here, though you may not find the price quite what you would aim for in all truth. The people who call this fair city home pride themselves on flashy homes and bright clothing. The people are about as diverse as you'll find in Sosaria. Mages, Archers, Smithies, maybe even a beggar or two. If people-watching is your favoured spectator sport, Luna just may be the place to visit on your weekend vacation out of town.

You may find yourself wondering where to find the masses...It seems as if the popular place of visiting in Luna is the bank. Much bartering and advertising takes place there, as well as a whole lot of crafting. While people chat and barter, people practice the skills they love most, passing the hours at the centre of all Luna commerce. As far as employees of the main point of the city go, you'll find the best of the best in any and every trade when you come visit luna. Some of Sosaria's best alchemists, carpenters, tailors, and more come here to share their wares and their talents, at a small fee.

Chapter Two - The History

When one stares up at the magestic sandstone buildings and the fine marble statues of monolithic proportions, they will instantly get the aire of a city with a sizable tale to tell. Luna, the city of Light, was established a town of Paladins. It was tended to well by all who lived there, and it remains so, under the careful eye of each and every Luna civillian. This city was established to be somewhat of a counterpart to the darker city of Umbra, a city where the Necromancers rule. This city is heavily guarded by a number of guards and very talented civillians. One will find this area surrounded by the crystal fens, a popular hunting ground for all who like treasure and gold. There are small tunnels and compartments hidden throughout the city, approached via small stairwells. Within these lie small libraries full of worlds of knowledge. Some of the best kept secrets of Sosaria have been kept in these halls for many many years. Another small oddity is the glowing runes that one finds on certain areas of the roads surrounding the main city. If one should come visit Luna, they would find more than one curiosity in this fair city.

Chapter Three - What's a Visitor to Do?

When one considers a visit to any town, the first question that approaches the mind is "What in the name of Merlin will I do there?" If you do not wish to barter at the bank or meet with locals, there is another very obvious choice to any who have visited Luna before. Visiting Luna is visiting the centre of most Sosarian commerce. The most expensive and the most common things are both found there. There are vendors left and right selling flashy wares and competitive prices. It would take more than one Sosarian day to go through all the shopping, but if you find your funds cutting short, there's another popular activity in Luna. Any time you may stroll down a street in Luna, you may find an array of people gaining their skills and working up a sweat outside the main city.

It's a popular hobby for people to build golems and fight them to gain skill in their combative ways. This is a popular way for Luna natives to work up a sweat and get better at fighting. If even that bores you, you may find yourself wanting a good rest or some quiet time.

The Paladin's Stopover is a very quaint but also very dazzling in, located just above the bank and stores on the first level of the main city area of Luna. Fluffy white polar bear rugs and striking red dragon heads adorn the walls, and if you happen to walk into the first room on your left, you'll find a crisp white room. This is the meeting place of paladins, as anyone would guess, but it is the sheer magnificence of the white, glistening tables and the brilliant swords that makes the visit worthwhile. If spirituality is more your favour, then you can visit the spiritual shrine right near the inn.

There are a number of marble benches to sit on as you reflect on the time spent here. There is a brilliant white ankh to tithe gold to, as whell as a couple of luxurious white thrones. If hunting is more your favour, there are many deer and great hart about, as well as a skittering hopper to and fro. For larger game, there are a number of beasts not far outside of town that call the Crystal Fens home.

Outside of the main city, one will find a bagball field. Bagball is the official sport of Luna, very popular amongst those who live here. The stakes may be very high, or very low, but either way, bagballs will fly and much ale will be consumed. As far as the food goes, many varieties of pork and beef are strongly favored, for the folk of Luna favor hearty meals and no regrets.

Tips for the Luna Traveler:
