Title: Turning Lich?

A theoretical Humanis idea on the labelling of Daemons and Undead The Humanis Manifesto states the it is the Human that is the most advanced form of sentient life on Sosaria. As the only race known to possess a soul, the Human is the most virtuous of all beings.

However there are some humans that wish to achieve a step above what the Mother Creator has done for them, they wish to enhance their bodies and prolong their existence with necromancy and alchemical practices.

For long has Humanis been undecided about such modified Humans, are they a part of our trans Sosarian family? The answer is a complicated one.

Knowing that nature provides the creatures of Sosaria various traits necessary for survival one would question the sanity behind trying to advance oneself without paying credit to the natural process. The only answer possible is that a modified human is unnatural and thus no longer human.

The Seraphim faith stated that: Humanity is the precious race of Mother, made by her hands, her creativity and intellect Although not believed by all Humanis, Mother worship has presented the idea that any deviation from the Human form can only result in a lessening of that form.

The Humanis Racial Scale has no place in it for Daemons or Undead as Daemons have never been proven to birth on Sosaria and the Undead are a proven sterile group and thus lack the necessary traits of race status. However it is known that various individuals can permanently make themselves Daemons or Undead creatures. It is the concern of Human modification which has sparked an initiative to label Daemons and Undead as a lower form of their original race.

Therefore, an Undead Human would be the racial equivalent of a dwarf.

Humans should not seek to change themselves! Immortality, like that of elves, comes at the price of the soul!
