Trinsic Government Positions

Mayor of Trinsic (position: closed) - The Mayor is in charge of directing and supervising meetings amongst the group as well as representing the Council in meetings and events outside the Council, such as with other Councils of Virtue and Guilds. The Mayor's duties are also to give speeches when called for at special events planned by the TCoH. The Mayor is responsible for coordinating all Council activities and can call private meetings of the Council or Council Officers when needed.

Vice-Mayor of Trinsic (position: open) - This person acts as the Mayor when the Mayor is unable to attend meetings or events and assists the Mayor in his or her own duties. The Vice Mayor is the right-hand person of the Mayor. The Vice Mayor is also in charge of making sure Councilors are active and having those that are not active removed from the roster after sending fair warning of their inactivity.

Secretary of Trinsic (position: open) - The Secretary is in charge of keeping Meeting Logs and sending those to the Webmaster of the TCoH site for posting as soon as possible. The Secretary keeps track of attendance at all meetings and takes care of correspondence for the Council as needed.

Treasurer of Trinsic (position: open) - The Treasurer acts as a resource coordinator in that he is responsible for keeping track of all the Council's resources (raw materials and gold) and where they are stored. He is also in charge of coordinating resource gathering activities when supplies run low. The Treasurer must keep an updated ledger webpage and/or spreadsheet available for the Council to review at any time.

Publicity Officer of Trinsic (position: open) - The Publicity Officer is in charge of announcing the plans and events of the Council to the main UO news websites and message boards. The Publicity Officer will also coordinate publicity activities with the Town Crier and the Historian. This person will be expected to write announcements that are clear, detailed, easy to read, and free of spelling and grammatical errors.

Town Crier of Trinsic (position: open) - The Town Crier is responsible for publicity of the Council's meetings and events within the realm of Britannia (in-game). This person will post notices on the town bulletin boards, hand out runes to events, and be creative about other forms of publicity. The Town Crier will work with the Publicity Officer as needed.

Ambassador of Trinsic (position: open) - The Ambassador is responsible for representing Trinsic at various meetings and events and will attend as many events and other town council open meetings as possible. The Ambassador will coordinate efforts with other town councils and guilds for events and projects where appropriate. He will also maintain a list of Trinsic area guilds and endeavor to keep good relations with the guilds. The Ambassador will be involved in organizing any treaties or ally agreements (both IC and OOC). He is also tasked with keeping Trinsic area guilds informed of the Council's activities and will present a regular report to the Mayor and the Council of his activities and our relations with these other groups.

Historian of Trinsic (position: open) - The Historian writes summaries of all events that occur involving Trinsic and any events or quests that the Council sponsors or participates in (including official OSI quests). The Historian submits his summaries or articles to the Webmaster for posting. The Historian also submits articles to the main UO news websites and message boards to help spread word of news from Trinsic and the Council. This person also endeavors to keep the History Timeline updated. The Historian is expected to work with the Publicity Officer and must have good writing skills.

Commander of the Honor Guard (position: N/A, This position is decided within the ranks of the THG) - This person serves as the Trinsic Honor Guard guild master. He will provide organization and leadership of the Honor Guard which includes establishing a rank system for the Guard, recruiting new members, and training those members. He is responsible for the defense of the town and the Greater Trinsic area and will organize patrols of the city and surrounding area. The Commander will provide security for events and quests as requested by the Council. He may offer bounties and other rewards for service, as well as give medals or other citations. The Commander works with the Liason to keep all THG members up to date.

Liaison to the Honor Guard (position: open) - This person serves as the Council's link to the members of the Honor Guard by keeping all THG members informed of the Council's activities and events.

Event Coordinator (position: open) - The Event Coordinator will assist the Mayor and the Vice Mayor in planning and holding events and quests. He will present ideas for events and quests to the Council and will be expected to be familiar with events the Council has sponsored in the past so annual events can be held. He is also tasked with procuring supplies, furnishings, and volunteers for events as needed.

Secretary of Trade & Commerce (position: open) - The Secretary of Trade & Commerce gathers detailed information on Trinsic area merchants, goods, and prices. He will maintain a registry of Trinsic area merchants. The Secretary of Trade & Commerce will work with the Webmaster in making this information available to the public via the TCoH website. He will assist in planning and overseeing the Trinsic Bazaars and other trade-related events (such as trade caravans and auctions). He may also set up regular meetings of Trinsic area merchants to hear their concerns, exchange news, and learn how we may better serve the community.
