Thrawn: okay, shall we begin then?
Thrawn: thank you all for coming
Thrawn: I have two main things to address today
Thrawn: the first of which is the ongoing debate about factions
Thrawn: and the second of which... is a bit of a surprise..
Thrawn: *wink*
Thrawn: as some of you were at the Militia meeting Thursday, you know we discussed faction
Thrawn: and we have an ongoing dicussion on the message board
Thrawn: but I would like to give anybody else a chance to chime in on the hot topic
Thrawn: so, if anybody has any opinions or feelings or ideas on factions, please speak
Rainbow King: Hmm
Rainbow King: Perhaps I then
Thrawn: go ahead
Rainbow King: I just now formulated my opinions on the board
Rainbow King: Personally I would say you should join the Factions on a broad scale or not at all
Rainbow King: That means It's my belief every man supporting one faction should join together
Rainbow King: Else you seem fairly doomed
Thrawn: but what of those citizens who do not really enjoy warfare?
Rainbow King: My entire point was based on the fact that only those willing would join such a
Rainbow King: united guild
Thrawn: *nods*
Rainbow King: The others would continue as they do now I suppose
Thrawn: that is something we have discussed with some local guilds, using a united stone
Thrawn: seems to probably be the most supported position at the moment
Thrawn: as long as everybody can agree on the same faction...
Thrawn: well, anybody else have something to say about the factions?
Vargen: I should probably say something...

Vargen: I support the "area guild faction stone" idea

Vargen: I'm not sure which faction represents Yew's best interest at this point...
Vargen: I'd like to try and put together an alliance with some weight behind it before deciding
Vargen: I guess that about covers my feelings on the matter... aside from the fact that...
Vargen: I feel strongly that we should be involved somehow

Thrawn: this is something we have been thinking about doing for awhile now
Thrawn: and will begin here today
Thrawn: I think it is important that we reward those who display extra effort
Thrawn: to make the community a success
Thrawn: and so
Thrawn: we are beginning a "Recognition Award"
Thrawn: to be presented on a monthly basis
Thrawn: to a person who has gone above and beyond their typical duties
Thrawn: to bring the community together, and help everybody have fun
Thrawn: the award consists of a certificate stating the thanks of the community
Thrawn: as well as a specially crafter necklace
SunWolf: loa is goign britian
Thrawn: with 110 emeralds set in it, symbolizing 110% effort put forth by the recipient

Thrawn: I would like to present the First Yew Council Recognition Award to...
Thrawn: Dunedain, for his incredible efforts with the last Trade Caravan

Dunedain: *looks thoroughly embarrassed*

Thrawn: I will read the certificate
Dunedain: *accepts handshake*
Thrawn: This certificate is being preseted on behalf of the citizens of Yew to Dunedain
Thrawn: on the 19th day of the 11th month of the year 2000.
Thrawn: In recognition of his efforts to successfully organize and coordinate the latest caravan
Thrawn: from Yew to Trinsic, we thank him for his efforts and ideas, and hope to see them
Thrawn: continue in the future. It is efforts such as these which make our community grow
Thrawn: strong and prosper, and come together to make the best we can in Britannia.
Thrawn: And so, I thank Dunedain for his dedication, and present his with this special necklac
Thrawn: The necklace is made up of 110 emeralds, representing the 110% effort he put forth.
Thrawn: Please accept our thanks and this award, you are a fine example of an ideal citizen
Thrawn: and member of Yew.
Thrawn: *presents the necklace and certificate*

Gwendolyn: I'd like to ask if you would be willing to sponsor another Trade Caravan.

Gwendolyn: I would have asked Britain already, but they've changed their meetings to Tuesdays.
