Luna was the type of place you did not tarry, you moved quick thru it as an Umbran, your eyes squinting against the light of the paladin city. It was a fast awakening for their group as they gathered their supplies and hurried to leave the city of Light.

It was here a ponderous thing happened, Malikhia ran into an old friend, an ex-druid named Crickette. The woman seemed alone and eager to take up traveling with her found friend. Myrddin simply asked Malikhia’s vouch for the woman and no more was asked. Upon this she was allowed to take up travel with them.

They former druid was not the only surprise in store for them as they set out the gates of Luna. Merci soon found herself staring down a familiar sight. She had told her daughter Alexis just nights before they left that they were going and the anger her daughter had showed at the last minute notice was palpable. Yet Merci hadn’t time for squabbles. She had bid her goodbye thinking perhaps she would not see her daughter again. The girl now stood before them, Llama packed and heavy with supplies. She had true to her own self followed their scent and caught up with the group.

Direction was the most critical decision at this point and it turned out that their stop in Luna had been more than just for “Supplies” Myrddin emerged with a hired paladin whose purpose among this group was far from protection. If the Paladin wondered why this group of obviously trained adventurers needed his aid, he made no sound and trudged along with the group adhering to his task.

It was upon discovery of a small graveyard hidden among the forests of Malas, that all felt compelled to stop the feeling of home so strong upon them. This is where they would make a rather important device. Merci felt compelled for consult in their direction, and Myrddin agreed. With the help of a skilled necromancer, Malikhia, they fashioned a devise that would give them aid.

In the center of the graves a bucket was set out, and Myrddin with quick action downed the Paladin turned sacrifice. Willow with precision of skill slit the jugular in his throat allowing the blood to drain into the bucket.

Crickette, removed the appropriate size bones from the hands of one, and handed them to Merci. Then woven with a chunk of her daughters hair, she created a rudimentary bone arrow and floated it atop the bucket of blood.

A makeshift compass they now proudly displayed……

Malikhia called for the wisdom of the dead and was answered by none other than Grarine herself, her hands spinning the arrow of the compass in the pool of blood and pointing true for their direction. East they would go. The bone arrow was tucked away amongst Myrddins things. They made camp for this night amongst the graves of the dead. Tired, but more peaceful than other nights, they were happy to have this small semblance of home surround them.
