The Shadow Covenant

There are many causes that the people of sosaria stand behind. Ideals, love, land, virtue… all foolish concerns. All petty. But there is a greater cause. A glorious cause. A cause so epic and inevitable that those blessed enough to divine its beauty can not help but to rise up and defend it.
Laid before you by the very keepers of the ministry itself, we present to you the covenant. The shadow covenant is seven tenants each and all disciples shall obey, and must follow as closely as each may. Through the tenants, ultimate perfection and absolute power is achievable, by breaking free from false principles.
“The light is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I achieve victory. Through victory, my chains are broken, and I stand free of false principles.” – The Shadow Mantra.
Do not meddle in the false ideals of the “Light”, the virtues, or the Three Principles. Rather, acknowledge the invalidity of these ideals and walk on, for you know their servants will be snuffed out like a candle in the night. We come from all through out the land, of all races and minds and views, from all corners and ideals of society, all to humble ourselves in servitude to this noble endeavor. We are the guardians of the shadows. We are the distant watchers. We are those who stand resilient and wait, ever faithful to our code and respectful of our given roles. We are the keepers who wait on the distant hill, garbed in black and astride mounts, ever patient. We are shades that stand eternal, clerics of greater reason.

The Seven Tenants
(1) –Acceptance-
- Light can be squelched, its very source destroyed. When Sosaria’s sun burns no longer, what will remain? Darkness. Shadow and darkness consume all. We are its masters and its keepers.
(2) –Accord-
- Trust in the Shadow Triad [Archon, Pontifex and Praetorian). Respect your given role, and respect your fellow shadow brethren.
(3) –Acumen-
- An ignorant man cannot hope to reach his true and maximum potential. One who does not fully embrace and acknowledge the falseness of the virtues and other principles is no better than a dead man.
(4) –Vigor-
- The whole must have no weaknesses. With a service to darkness itself, there comes great responsibility. Follow the ladder and achieve your true potential for power
(5) –Unified Vigor-
- The sum of our power is greater then the individual. Unite with those who share your ground and stand firmly with them.
(6) –Channel Your Power-
- Our emotions are our strongest, most accessible well of power. The passion is what fuels us. Draw on your emotions as your guide and energy. Play upon the anger and hate your mind generates. Do not ignore them, but use them to better yourself against your foe.
(7) –Rise Above Petty Impulse-
- Greed, Jealously and Arrogance are the downfall of great societies. Rather then follow these obvious short term impulses, manifest them into something greater. Turn these petty impulses on the enemy, not your brethren.
Walk on, fellow brethren. Breath the cool air of the night, and accept the truth.
