SANDRO SOULTAKER

by The Fel Insider

Bold and unscathed after a brilliant slaughter of a simpleton mage who had wandered too close to his home, Sandro Soultaker, Legendary Necromancer, helped himself to his prey's riches. With his connection to the spirit world, Sandro understood every word his victim said. He heard his name cursed and laughed at his prey for calling him a floating abortion, for it was true: Sandro had hid himself from the world, crept through the shadows and with maddening patience had perched in wait to pummel this pathetic mage into the ground.

A few short moments later, myself and Sandro see the mage return... but he is not alone. With him are two Ninjas and a ranger/archer with a Hiryu. The slaughter that followed is difficult to describe.

The Hero of the Dead used his Godly skill to summon a revenant to bury his main opponent, the Hiryu. The constant assault of the ghastly figure on his faithful pet unnerved the ranger. He ran like a coward... away from the pet he loved... pathetic! The ninjas hid.

The mage summoned an astonishing volley of spells that simply bounced off Sandro like a mirror.

Sandro's shield is an old-school spell-reflect shield with replenishing charges. The mage, the two ninja's -simply revealed by a quick spell- and the Dragon, were all slain by this lone Hero.

The day is setting in this dark world of Britannia. The ghost of the Hiryu still floats in front of Sandro's simple tower as a testament to his prowess as I write this. I have one last question for Sandro. I learned the answer today, but it wasn't for me to answer, so I asked Sandro, "Where are the true Heroes of Britannia?"

He answered in three short words, simply, powerfully, " Only in Fel."

STARTING A VENDOR

"How To" by Rachel of Rachel's Runebooks

Starting a vendor at your house is simple & profitable if you follow these easy steps. Visit an Innkeeper & buy a "Contract of Employment" for 1252 gp. Stand where you want the vendor placed & dbl-click the Contract. You now have a vendor. Drop some gold on him to pay for his services

Dbl-click the vendor to see his pop-up menu. Note how much gold he has & how many days his wages are paid for. He's inexpensive unless you have high-priced items on him.

What to sell? Anything you can make, loot, or buy cheaper than you can sell it for. Everyone uses armor. Scribed items are popular: recalls, runebooks, spell & necro books. Bulk items like arrows, bandages, boards, ingots & leather sell well. Good luck keeping them in stock! Weapons can sell if they have special properties that others are looking for. Don't put alot of Jewelry on & expect it to sell quickly -it is a slow seller. Rares, of course, will usually sell well anytime.

The best advice I can give you is, "Don't be greedy." You can make good money over the long term if you don't over-price your items because players will return to buy from you again.

Advertise your vendor by marking runes with the name of your shop or what you are selling. Drop these runes whereever there are players: Britain Bank, Luna, Haven, moongates, dungeon entrances, shrines, etc.

Give it time. Don't be discouraged if it takes a few days for things to move. When I first started nothing sold for almost a week. I was so discouraged I almost took my vendor down. Then one day, I came on and my vendor was empty. Was I thrilled! Now I can't keep them stocked fast enough.

So, give it a try. Start out small, see what sells, and work from there. Good luck to you and be safe.

THE TAVERN BARD

So I said good bye to my faction

And I gave my reason,

That a really good adventure

Is a form of treason.
