The Movement

The Movement plot started August 5, 1998 on the Atlantic shard. Gargish Dragon, Azreal Darkmoon and myslef, Garulfo, decided to investigate about this mysterious organization. The first image shows our gathering in the Empath Abbey, in Yew. Rumors first mentioned a murder, committed in Trinsic... The suspects were known as Quanta and Marin, and Quanta's house has been located near the Shrine of Spirituality.

Contents

Day One

We headed to the Shrine of Spirituality, where we investigated Quanta's house. We found there :

  • A letter to Marin of Yew, where Quanta speaks of Gorman, and archer in Yew.
  • A journal, where the name of Tarnie, an arms dealer, is mentionned.
  • A log of sales with some names, showing that Tarnie bought a lot of armors. One page has also strangely been ripped off.
  • An inventory log.
  • Chests containing armors.
  • An armoire with fisherman's clothes.

We then headed to Yew, in order to find Gorman the bowyer. When we asked about Marin, he answered that she came with her father, from a place near a beach, where a tailor can be found. He also said that somebody by the name of Edwar could lead us to her place. Edwar was to be found near the Halls of Justice.

Edwar was kind enough to show us Marin's place. She was not home, but we found :

  • A letter to her father. We leaned that Marin's father is actually a tailor himself, and competes with another tailor where he lives. Also, the name bye the name of Tarnie is actually Gorath'al Tarin, of Jhelom.
  • A picture of somebody named Rod.
  • A map of Moonglow.

Day Two

After I checked town maps, I decided to head to Nujelm, as this island has many beaches. I decided to question the tailor, by the name of Jerard. He told me that Rod is in fact Roderique for short, and is Quanta's father. Roderique is not in Nujelm for now, and obviously seems to be engaged in "something"... He also told me to find Palix, somewhere on the island, who knows where Roderique lives.

As I asked very politely, Palix lead me to Roderique's place, where I found the following :

  • The complete name of Rod is Roderique Fizard.
  • A letter with two important points :

o Roderique has a friend in Jhelom, Balin, who will help finding Tarnie. o To retrieve him (Roderique), search Sarah in Moonglow.

  • A sale log shows the names of some clients, like Ashel Tharin, Peterman the smith, Elana, and Valadarzim who bought a lot of leather armor parts. The last words are "Where are Agusta and Valadarzim?".

Peterman the Smith (North of Nujelm) added that Sarah in Jhelom is a mage, and that Roderique seems to have strange friends, somewhat involved in religious things.

Balin, in Jhelom, proposed his help to find Tarnie, who is known as an arm trainer in the north isle of Jhelom. Alas, neither Gargish Dragon nor myslef could find him, and I personnaly decided to shorten my staying there after I met some Pkillers (the area is unguarded).

Day Three

Sarah, in Moonglow, told me that Rod was around. She suggested me to visit a mage by the name of Torin, and in order to find him, I should look for Michael, somewhere in the Southern part of the island.

When I mentionned Roderique's name, Michael was kind enough to lead me to Torin's house.

orin, whose complete name was Torin Gerard Feldhorn, was completely dead, too. However, his house was full of interesting clues :

  • A portrait of a very strange man.
  • A map, showing the Shrine of Sacrifice.
  • A note, related to the murder committed and its reasons.
  • A chest, containing sacrifical candles.
  • An armoire, with the folowing items.

o The head of Aragoth. o The code, probably from that mysterious organization, "The Movement".

  • And message delivered by a pigeon. The message being very mysterious, I decided to publish it completely below.

Day Four

The two first images shows the house of Gorth'al Tarnis, located on the north island of Jhelom. I missed it last time... Actually he's not here, but some interesting things could have been discovered there, the "could" meaning that book titles and authors had been modified to such things like "OSI sucks", etc. Sigh. The contents haven't been modified however.

  • There is a copy of "the code" in the armoire, under some hides... And a polar bear fur.
  • The map, revised hunting plans, shows Snow Island and the Shrine of Honesty.
  • A letter to Alexis mentions The Movement, and Sir Valadarzim who doesn't appear to be from Jhelom, due to his accent. A message has also been send to Torin (this is the message delivered by a pigeon that can be found in Torin's house). Attacks using poison are also reported...
  • A book (title changed) shows that Augusta was "honored" the same day as Gorth'al. Alexis is also making some plans, and "d" must be contacted?
  • Another book (title changed) shows how Sir Valadarzim bought a lot of armors and weapons.

Augusta can be found in Serpent's Hold. When you ask about Val, he says that his friend Grayson will show Val's house. Grayson is camping somewhere around.

Grayson says that Val is Sir Valadarzim's nickname, and leads to Val's house.

Day Five

In the home of Sir Valadarzim are the hides, the broadswords and the plate armors mentionned by the message found in Torin's house. If you combine them in the proper way, you will obtain some geographical coordinates...

In the bedroom can be found a tome of The Code, as well as several locked books (Unlock spell can't do anything).

The coordinates obtained in Sir Valadarzim's house leads to this man, Gunthrey, who couldn't help begging for some money. You need to tell him the password, then he mentions another man, Comet the fisherman.

If you ask something about Alexis, Comet will kindly lead you to Alexis' place...

Alexis and Elana's house is locked, unlike the houses formerly visited. You can open the door from the inside, but you can't open it from outside.

In the back room can be found two evidences of the existence of the Movement.

  • A book about The Creation of the Movement, where I learned that Alexis' complete name is Alexis Marnith. The sourse for this book can be found at the Lycaeum... Elana is found to be Alexis' wife.
  • A message to Valadarzim, with the date and location of a meeting of The Movement members. If you want to know... go read the messsage :)

In the bedroom can be found :

  • A journal by Elana, where she speaks of her "enlightment".
  • Miscellaneous books, all locked.

Since the date and location of the secret meeting of The Movement has been discovered, I guess enough evidences have been gathered about this plot... Let's just wait this meeting, and see what can be done.

Some things I missed, but then discovered after some verifications :

  • In Marin's house, that skirt seems to have some hidden needle... This is one of the ways assassins from the Movement get rid of their ennemies : using poison in clothes they sell.
  • Who is Dwayne, met in Serpent's hold?

Day Six

Preliminary note : The following scenes (pages 6 and 7) happened Wednesday, August 12, at 10 PM EST, near the Shrine of Sacrifice (Atlantic). This was the first meeting of The Movement.

Gargish Dragon, Sundragon, Boro, Craz and myslef rejoined ourselves the Shrine of Sacrifice, where we found some evidences of the meeting. We decided to hide and watch carefully what will occur.

Suddenly Alexis, Valardazim, Gorath'al Tarnis, Roderique and Quanta appeared.

Alexis: Members! Circle around! We have the body! Tis prepared! You see: torso of Aragoth Gorath'al Tarnis: indeed it is Alexis: Sorround the sacrificial table, Quanta, Gorath, Rod Gorath'al Tarnis: I am ready Roderique: The Movement grows... Alexis: Who are these people! BACK OFF! Members of the movement, this is our first meeting. Gorath'al Tarnis: *nods* Alexis: I shall now introduce the first action of the Movement : The corpse of Aragoth! Quanta: Aye, the first of many! Alexis: He showed fear in the face of danger. He was killed. We will show the world the power of the Code! Gorath'al Tarnis: aye, he showed, courage Alexis: The power of the Gods! Listen closely to me. Remember the books that I gave Gorath'al Tarnis: *listens closely* Alexis: That code is to be taken to the very literal extreme. If someone lies : CUT THEIR TONGUE. If they show fear : Kill them. Gorath'al Tarnis: *smiles wickedly* Alexis: If they do not donate their money : Take it all! This world will become good again. Remember. You are no mortal. Behind us stands a god. As a member, seek the shrines! Gorath'al Tarnis: aye, indeed Alexis: Visit them regularly Roderique: *lustfully enjoys the hot wax dripping on his wrist* Alexis: Raise arms to our God. He has made us prevail. Just as he will make us prevail tonight! Gorath'al Tarnis: we shall, overcome! Alexis: Prepare my friends. Alexis: It seems we have been invaded! Quanta: Invaded? Gorath'al Tarnis: *glances arond* You see Valardazim attacking Gargish Dragon! You see Quanta attacking Night of Blood! You see Alexis attacking Gargish Dragon! You see Gorath'al Tarnis attacking Tommyboy! Roderique: Long live the Movement! Gorath'al Tarnis: thou cannot stand before the night of the movement! Quanta: Never! I shall not die! Gorath'al Tarnis: thou and thy momma, thou art powerless before me! All of thee shall die! Slowly thou will all die!

Note : A terrible fight ensued, showing that the leaders of The Movement were fighters of incredibly high skill. However, Quanta and Gorath'al Tarnis were slain by the Britannian forces. Alexis, Valardazim, Roderique could escape.

After the defeat of the Movement leaders, Seer Little made an appearance, in order to gather news about what occured.

Seer Little: Hail! You see: Seer Little (invulnerable) Seer Little: Tell me. Who lived? Alexis? This bodes ill. Alexis was the leader. I read his writings.

Note : Seer Little now moves to the sacrifical place.

Seer Little: What happened here? Err this is a sacrifice? So it seems. I bring news. If you will hear me. I was stuck in Alexis's house without me reagents and so I was late for their meeting. However... In that time, I learned some things : I was reading a Journal by Alexis, this more than their simple "code". They have some crazy religious belief that there is some god commanding them! I read it myself and Elana supposedly SAW this god in a fire!

Seer Little: I tell you all : You have done well. Very very well. They are nothing easy to deal with. The fact that you killed Quanta and Gorath is amazing. You brought justice to Aragoth. However, Alexis, Rod, and Valadarzim, they escaped. I fear that there are no clues that lead us to where they might be. I look around and see something planned for attention. Let me see...

Seer Little: Yes, I think it was planned, they were onto us the entire time. See, I was in Gorath's house. I was poking around his belongings... Someone ran up to the house and peeked in, then they darted off. I got a bad feeling : I believe it was an informant for the Movement. Anyway, that was days ago.

Seer Little: I have only a few more things to say : I have a premonition. The people of this "movement" have dissapeared and I say that they are untraceable this time. However... You are all sharp men and women. Keep thy ears to the ground. Listen for their presense. If their movement is what they infer, they will appear again and that is when we strike!

Seer Little: We must kill Alexis. BUT we must be patient. As for poor Aragoth... Well he was avenged. I feel retrobution. I await a sign. When I find it, I will summon help again! I cannot see I do not know where! If I knew, I would go hunt them down.

Seer Little: I know how I can contact you : Read the newspapers. Now, as for you men and women, I am very impressed with your valor and tanacity. I was not able to find this place myself, I followed your tracks. Tis a great deed you have done for the world... And, tis a great deed you have done for Aragoth. I fear that my time is limited. I will return to my studies and await news. I wish you all luck in all of thy efforts. Good Day!

Note : Counselor Zug Zug was also around, then a ghost form of Gorath'al Tharnis came back, but at this time the ether decided that the action was over (repeated Conection Lost).

Day Seven

Conclusions (for now) :

  • Everybody recognized Gorth'al Tarnis and Valadarzim, even though they tried to misled people, hiding behind the names of Gorath'al Tarnis and Valardazim :)
  • Elana, the "enlighted" one, didn't show herslef.
  • There seems to be a god hiding behind all this. He appeared to Elana in flames. Something related to the Fire Isle and Hythloth?
  • More clues have to be found now. Seer Little will pass info if any via the newspapers (refer to owo.com).

Day Eight

After the battle during the meeting of The Movement leaders, I have been looking for more clues. With Dagon and Finawe, we have been sailing around Moonglow, as we heard of some mysterious -and uncharted- isle there. We didn't find any isle, but we found strange wooden posts.

I also travelled with Helium to the Fire Isle, when I found this message from "W". I also found some sacrifical remains, but since then I heard that they have been there for very long. Also, this message has been dropped by Sage Winslow (W), and is related to the fight versus the Followers of the Armageddon (ex Zog Cabal).
