Journal entry 1 of Grimmnor Felwynd (the original Wolf King):

My mother has always been enamored with our home in Malas, I have always thought that she played a parody on my name. She says we are tied here and that our people relate back to the very first that roamed this land. I am a warrior first and foremost but it seems that she has set me off on a more adventurous task. I have taken a group of my best men with me. It is a race to find the stone before my father's clan does. Not much is known about the stone except that it was hidden somewhere in Sosaria. So I have left malas and headed into the lands of trinsic where it was last seen.

Journal entry 2 of Grimmnor Felwynd:

It was a sad day, I lost one of my best men to a wicked follower of my father. He was poisoned as he took his evening meal. One of the council found us and while I gave chase the creature was long gone. It is a terrible thing for a warrior to fall to anything but battle. He was a good man, and friend. Our hearts are discouraged but we shall press on, I am searching for a cave that we believe it was hidden within. I am sticking close to the mountains and hoping it will reveal itself. It has been many days of searching and my men are convinced it is not here. Yet I know the council is searching to. I can not stop I must deliver it to my mother. Our clan depends on this stone for many generations to come.

Journal Entry 3 of Grimmnor Felwynd:

At last i have found the stone! Yet my heart is heavy a great battle ensued as the Council had followed us and tried to take it. It is always a great clash when undead and lycan fight, though some of my men are human. Sadly I lost all of my men and they were wounded and fled. Yet I still have the stone, the life of a warrior is filled with the comings and goings of those around you. Battle takes them constantly, but I would live no other way. I will build a monument to their memory when I return home. On another note I have been considering building a structure similar to the councils, with seven Lycan lords. Its an idea I have been tossing around, each Lycan lord (whether Lycan or not) would be charged with going after a member of the council. I must ponder this... I long to see Lisette her fair face and sweet skin. It teases a man's mind. My mother doesnt like her much but I am sure it will change with time. She makes me laugh, I never laugh except when we are alone....

Journal Entry 4 of Grimmnor Felwynd:

My mother scurried off with it, I can swear when I found the stone it was nothing but a small rock. Yet now in her hands it instantly began to change. Shes locked herself inside her lab, I have often told her that she should of just been an alchemist instead of a mage. At least Lisette was waiting for me and we have much catching up to do. I think it is time I married...

Quote: They were utilizing a corrupted form of the very shrine stone used to build our testaments to the Virtues. Unless their reserves of this substance could be found, the threat would remain. Several parties of adventurers made the dangerous quest and eventually found all of the corrupted chunks of shrine stone.

Written in Grarines handwriting a small note is attached to this article.

At last I think I have found the origin of our stone, I do not beleive that all the parties of adventurers were virtuous and so one chunk of the Lich twins reserves were not returned to the Sage Humboldt. It is my belief that the components of the corrupted shrine stone were ground up much like the lich twins did and made into this Obelisk of changing shape. I have witnessed the stone turn as small as a copper or as large as a building. Magical indeed, I have much work to do to unlock its secrets. Since my son brought it to me and it holds no name that I know of, I shall call it the Lycan Stone in honor of him.
