The camping warriors stirred early this morn. It was far too bright to sleep anymore. Gratefully they packed up the camp and continued on their journey. Fortune was on their side as they quested for their new homes. Supplies were plentiful and their numbers grew. Their luck did not stop this day either, shortly after leaving the blinding city did they come upon a camp.

These nomads didn't take a liking to the passing soldiers and began to launch a futile attack. The massacre was over in less than a minute's time. The group rummaged through the camp taking additional supplies they would surely need.

As the light began to fade the cold set in. Their caravan hasten its pace to keep warm. They ventured for a while until coming to a peculiar but Inevitable situation, the rope bridge that crossed the void. These former Umbran residents knew very well that they would make it across but were uncertain if their hooved pack animals would.

Willow and Merci decided to test the integerity of the rope by crossing their dragon steeds. If the rope could take their weight and if the armored creatures could balance themselves long enough to get across then the horses and llamas could do the same. Willow went on the line and tested her steed first. As she hopped off, and tugged the reigns toward the bridge the dragon looked at her as if she were crazy. "Come on Ivy, this is no time to quit on me now" she heaved the dragon agaisnt her will. The creature steadied itself but didn't advance. Willow tugged with all her might, she looked back to see Merci doing the same with her own steed. The end of the bridge was in arms reach, the dragon seeing solid ground, raced for the end of the pushing past Willow to saftey. Merci called out "Willow take the reigns, I will push". Again with all her might she and Merci guided the steed to solid ground safety.

The rest of the caravan followed. Slowly they advanced to the other side.

As the adrenaline passed through their systems, the moved on. Grimmswind was only a few paces now. When they arrived they tied up the frazzled animals and set up their third camp. Most fell right to sleep as they were exhausted having walked a line between life and death.
