Title: Spirituality

Author: Tiernan Caedmon

A great many people today hold Lord British's virtues dear and follow them to the best of their abilities. However, even those most pure of heart and mind find it a great task to hold themselves to these lofty ideals. Many who try but fail to live in the path of virtue do so because they forget the nature of the virtues. Rather than following the virtues, one should follow those principles from which they are derived: Truth, Love, and Courage.

The three principles combined form the virtue of Spirituality. This virtue has been defined by our Lord British as introspectiveness, seeking to improve one's inner being, and enlightening the lives of others. Are these not the fundamental purposes of virtue?

As I have said, the path to virtue lies not in the virtues, but those principles of which they are comprised. I humbly submit that Spirituality is the summation of the principles. Not only that, it is my belief that all other virtues are merely incomplete components of virtue.
