Shamino is a very interesting personality within the Ultima Realm, once engaged to wed the daughter of the King of the White Dragons, he was summoned away by Lord British to assist him on a matter of great importance. In his absence, we learn that Beatrix, his beloved fiance', pined for him.

We know from the journal of the King of the White Dragon, she was killed in a raid from goblin armies. The King never forgave him for his "treachery".

Shamino posed as Lord British and was captured by Minax, in an attempt to gather intelligence that would help the Britannian ruler rally force to opposed the dark mistress.

A lonely solitary figure, Shamino remains one of the true heros of the realm, putting country, king, and service before his own needs and desires.
