Author: Unity
On my first day:
his evening I went to Poet's tavern for a few drinks to kill some time and I was introduced to a gentleman by the name of Tai, a kindly sort. He intrduced himself to me and sent his wench for some ale. He began to tell me of a tale of some broken crystals that have come to be seen in Brit and also can be found in a cave of mushrooms. He then handed me a mappointing out the cave enterance and a layout of the cave inside aswell. He went on to tell me that I had become very highly recomended by Isk, this was not very odd to me.
I have known Isk for some time, but I began to listen a bit more intently to the gentleman after he said this. When the gentleman finished what he had to say I kindly excused myself for the evening. Bidding Tai well I then mounted my ethereal steed and spoke in gargish opening a gatewaay to my palace entering it. I went home to my palace to ponder my next moves.
On the second day:
This morning I went off to Brit. It is very interesting, I have never seen crystals that look like this before. They are differant thnn the power crystals we have used many times in the past for our experiments and procedures we have gone through in our break throughs with the creation of golem like drones.
I am unsure why they are here, I had origonally assumed some sort of overtaking like there was in Yew, but again these crystals are very differant. I am now very unsure of this idea, I am going to continue looking into it.
After looking the crystals over at a distance I felt very drawn to them, almost as if they were a force drawing my energies as I stood there admiring it, yet I did not feel weak or anything. I just felt a strong draw, i am very interested in a sample now, but these crystal pieces are encaged by some sort of unknown force, or a field. I have never seen one that looked like this before. I wish Dealthagar were here to help me in my research, I do miss him now alot more than ever.
I decided to have a drink this eve to settle my thoughts, so I returned to Poet's tavern. I met when I arrived there, his name was Kalran. He was a very kindly gentleman, after a few drinks i had pulled out my map which my travelers had drawn for me. He informed me he knew of the cave and we were off to the Mushroom Cave.
When we arrived in Ilshenar I went out in search ahead of Kalran and found some more crystal shards, when I tried to pick one up I failed, it was very deeply rooted in the ground.
Karlan informed me he had found a book entitled The Gem of Garanzen. When I went and opened the book it read as follows: "Born of the shatter his world he rebuilds living in darkness with metal children Enslaver of our kin.The book is very unique itself, the color and bindings.. very finely crafted.
After throughly examining all of the cave we decided to go and look in Brit again, only this time we would both go to the castle to see if the claims Kotare has come up with are true or false, will the castle be under attack by some being? If so than who? I must search further now. When we arrived at the castle there was a book, it was about egg sacs being removed. Very interesting, Also there were some shields in the throne room witht he book and along the walk in of the castle there were plants growing up, vibrant orange and green palnts with some thorns in the middle of the red rug.
There was only one Noble there though, it was very interesting. I will send a messenger later to take a copy of this book.
On my third day:
Today I returned to Brit to see what had happened, Kotare had been right, Brit was under attack. Truly now I wonder how did he know? Was he a part of the invasion claiming to be a protector of Brit? Why would a supposed Duke of the BlackWinds, located in Yew aswell as I know be protecting Brit? I am very wiery of this situation, possibly the whole "good" side of Kotare being returned to him was a sham. I feel I must now look into this situation aswell.....
--the journal enteries further were ripped out and only tattered paper remain in the seam with some letters, none ledgable--
