The hardest time so far was leaving and saying my goodbyes. As I start out, I am leaving from Minoc. I had hoped to stable Pegasus here, but the stable was full, so back to SH for him. I about tripped over a wild pack horse. His name is now Ferrous and he is accompanying me.
I have visited Sacrifice. 115 N 143E
As I headed back towards Vesper, I was attacked by a mongbat. He made for easy work. I then passed thru Vesper, without incidence. I did notice a vendor on the North Minoc road leaving Vesper who had several fine suits of black plate. I thought of Paulus. I then travelled back through Minoc and I found room in the stable, so I left Ferrous there. I did not wish to risk his life, or further risk my own by taking him with me.
I amde it to the Yew, Brittain, Minoc crossroads without further incident. Upon reaching the desert, I saw a few men chasing each other, but they ignored me. In the desert I was attacked by a scorpion. I did kill it, but not after being poisoned. I rested under a nearby tree and cure my sickness with An Nox. Healed a little and then headed back into the desert.
74N47E I made Honorable in this last battle. Attacked by a harpy. This one is too tough for me. I am down to less than one thrid of my life force and I have barely dented her's. I have run away and hidden. I am outside a large smithy. It appears a GL named Acolon owns it. He directed me to the shrine. It is beautiful. we talked of the virtues. He seems very nice. While meditating, I met the Noble Gaul, who told me of the game benefits of the shrines. He seemed nice as well.
Now I am off to the SHrine of Justice.67N37E btw, I did give Acolon, one of my lightning scrolls. I have one left. I am close to the Justice shrine. trying to navigate with a sextant and this crusty old map. I hate the mood that the murderers across the land have put on us. I hear footsteps, so I have hidden and I will wait to see what happens....
All quiet, dare I go? I think of the Gargoyle and troll I escaped along the road, and how if in armor, I would have sliced them up joyfully. I feel like a helpless kitten, on the lookout for wild dogs.
I see the source of my concern. Riordan a wandering healer. --chuckles-- I am at the Shrine of Justice. I tamed a sheep who was reciting the mantra of Justice just before I came in. I saw three visitors to the shrine, but I did not get their names. I also didnt get the coordinates of the shrine, but I will return and get it. I nca see the building Herc told me of.
I am at 78N20W. I am now heading for Spirituality. I will camp soon. Two shrines in one day is quite enough. I may stop by Yew. I visited Yew today. No one seems to be home now.
Perhaps they are all asleep. I am heading to the next shrine, Spirituality. It is west of Trinsic, and a long trip. Nost of this journey appears to be by road. I do not relish this aspect of the journey. Well, I gather my things and I am off....to Spirituality. On the way out of Yew, I was attacked by the ORc Yokgu. He started to run after exchanging a fw blows with me. I helped him to rest. He gave me a tunic, thigh boots, two handed axe, and a little food and gp.
