A paper on government. I have pondered the Regency of course, wondering what it would be like to rise above the reagent's rule and become an independent free thinking being. I think that we sometimes fail to see that following these set rules put forth by our Great Governer Reagent may be limiting our vision as beings.
We agree with his views of right and wrong. But his veiws are that of a man,The same as you and I. But we place him in a seat of power and that gives him the authority to tell us what think is right or wrong. In writing this I do not mean to rebel against our current leader nor his views. I just wish to acess the idea that I may think a bit differently or any man/being may think differently.
Sosaria's current Govenor believes that we should be going to war and fight this war for him because HE is being opposed, and not our community, township or Empire. If we as a people were to voice our opinions on his views of the virtues would we be ridiculed for it, or even looked down upon for challenging the authority of a figure in power, a figure that we placed in power.
I hold my sword and shield ready to fight for what I believe is right, and if my views conflict with his, I go against the wrath of a nation, not one being. That proposes another question. How much power do we give this Reagent (By this reagent I mean any...including the ones that follow)? He decides when HIS nation is going to war, and if we all were to rebel and choose not to fight would we be defying his will, therefore commiting something much like treason?
I try often to consider the fate of Britainnia and its people, but we are under the rule of one, and once in that state of power is he still considered one of its people or a devine ruling entity? I suggest that the people are giving just a bit more power in the ruling process, his thoughts are proposed to us and if we are to challenge them what changes are to be made.
Alas, all I can do is hope that we as a people make the right decision in those we choose to rule us.
