Title: On Wisps and their Language

Author: Jolrael

There has been a great deal of fuss in these times about the wisps, who have been reported to speak in our native tongue.

Whether this rumor is true, I know not, however, it is unimportant. What little the wisps seem to know of our language is very basic.

After all, why should they, a far superior race to us, bother to learn our primitive language. It would be much wiser if we were to learn their speech. With this in mind, let us take a look at the language of the Wisps.

Alphabet The wisp alphabet consists of one true vowel, Y. The letters W, C, M, and L are also treated as vowels.

Several other letters are used within the wisps alphabet, of course. They are these:

b d e g k s t x z Other letters may be used, but they have not yet been seen. As of now, the alphabet totals only 14 letters.

Vocabulary The wisps seem to have quite an expansive vocabulary.

Unfortunately, very few linguists have had the opprotunity to study the language of the wisps for long periods of time. Therefore, while many words have been discovered, the meaning remain a mystery.

Known Vocabulary Yimdc. -Hello Zxet. -Perhaps yes or no.

Unknown Vocabulary Bt, Ll, k, xg, xkc, b, yk, d, y, t, m, sbxy.

Certainly, there are hundreds of words in the wisp vocabulary. However, these words appear especially often.

This brings to a close Edition 1 of 'On Wisps and Their Language.' Further Editions will be much more complete, including any new letters or words found, and hopefully new definition for several of the words.
