Title: Mountain Folk

Author: Jaggerauth

The Mountain Folk stood a good several heads shorter than the average human, but made up the mass in their stocky bodies. This low-to-the ground, muscular physique made the Mountain Folk powerful melee combatants.

However, it seemed that blacksmithing and mining were the primary vocations of the Mountain Folk.

Unlike the diminutive Bobbits who were wise and introspective, the Mountain Folk succumbed to many of the shortcomings that plagued humans, namely greed and avarice.

They enjoyed great wealth, as well as precious metals which they unearthed by mining.

It has been hinted at that after the great Cataclysm following the defeat of Exodus, the Mountain Folk slowly bred their way to extinction.

Their culture was slowly assimilated into the human culture, and over time they simply vanished.

However, there was tale of a last Mountain Folk colony deep within the Abyss. Today, it is most likely gone, though, as the part of the Abyss rumored to house the colony has since filled with molten lava, and traces of life were destroyed.
