"The most virulent of the rumors that surrounded Mondain's demise spoke vaguely a warning that Mondain had been training an apprentice, a young and impressionable protege with an indescribably powerful gift of magic. This rumor was all but squelched when companions of the warlock's slayer entered the shattered chambers of Mondain's fortress and found nothing but smoking rubble and dust-clotted blood stains on the floor. ... Thus was the name of Minax, enchantress of evil, made known. A master of telekinesis from infancy and proudly apprenticed to Mondain the Wizard at age eleven, she had grown to wield a power many times greater than that which had failed to save her master. And with that growth arose an intense hatred for the people of Earth who had brought her master's end. Never content to merely afflict the good with evil, causing misery and pain, Minax sought to sow the seeds of evil in the good, leaving none untouched. " -an old scroll.
All this began at Trinsic where the dark enchantress first time revealed herself. She wore black leather and velvet, and looked like most beautiful young maiden. However her heart is ice cold for she knows only revenge, revenge against Lord British and his virtues. For it was Lord British with help of a stranger who killed Mondain, her love, over 300 years ago. Now Minax is determined to finish what her master and lover had started, to conquer Britannia.
The battle that started from Trinsic slowly spread all over the land, even though Trinsic was saved. Using her dark magic Minax drained life from the trees and raised dark creatures to continuously attack towns. To protest this, Lord British with help of his court Mage Nystul created a portal to another dimension, to another facet of the shattered gem, to another reality of Britannia that was of yet inhabited.
And from that day the world of Britannia has been shattered to two facets. The facets were named after the moons to make difference of Minax's and Lord British Britain. The original facet now full of war was to be known as Felucca and Lord British's side was to be known as Trammel.
The ongoing battle between Minax and Lord British has continued to this day, and there seems to be no hope of peace for the two worlds which each has a different ruler now.
