Justice vs.Vengeance by Kronos, Sage of Justice

Before I go into justice versus vengeance, let me explain what Justice and the Virtue of Justice means to me. Righting a wrong. Many believe that Justice is merely that. But it goes much deeper. In order to bring about Justice one must know the truth. Some say justice is blind. I say Justice must be all seeing. It is love that helps justice then. Love for the Truth. To me, Justice is simply that. Discovering the truth, no matter what it may be, and bringing that truth into the light. That is Justice.

Far too often one confuses Justice with vengeance. Making a person responsible for their actions. Both Justice and Vengeance are mean that. It is how this is brought about that differs. Justice shall seek out the truth with an even temper. Vengeance knows no truth. Only that whatever was done must be avenged, no matter the circumstances surrounding what happened. Justice knows Love. Vengeance only knows Hate. Sometimes Justice can be delievered in a subtle manner. Vengeance is almost always Dramatic and Violent. Justice shows compassion to all those involved. Vengeance cares not who is invloved. Vengeance shall simply sweep aside any who stands in their way.

I say to ye my friends. Always stop and think. Is it Justice that I seek? Or is it Vengeance? Justice as a virtue is a hard virtue to follow indeed. You must be mindful of others as well as yerself. You must seek out the Truth in all things. Even that same truth may not be what you once thought it to be. Once you have embraced the Truth, and Love it for all its worth, only then can TRUE Justice be delivered.
