Title: Humanity

Author: Rufus Oryan

Very often I attempt to ponder the inner workings of our society. But, as we change as a whole, our individual intentions also are changed. Mayhaps humanity has a part to play in these alterations in our lives. Human beings have grown to accept the other reaces that dwell within the realm of Sosaria. But there are often conflicting points of view on subjects of whether these other races should co-esist with humans. I believe that these conceptions and generalizations of the other races come from:

Personal experience; Information passed through out society and from genenration to generation, and myths. As the proud race we are, we find it hard to accept that there may be another being out there that excells in skills at a level further than humans. A wise friend, once voiced to me his opinions on the alternate races, and why they are inferior.

Understand, that I am not agreeing with this friend, just showing his view in this conudrum.

It seems that some believe that these alternative races are the bowels of society and only work to lessen the strenght in unity of humanist types. Others, are comfortable with these races making an impact and exisiting in our communities.

It was once said that, The true nature of man was evil. If that is true, then what of the Dwarf; with his pride and quick temperment. Would this not produce a greater evil? Or the Elf, because of its long life, could one leader with alternate motives create an evil empire that would last for thousands of years. Or the Orc, it's dirth of knowledge and savage ways are the fuel of its aggressive actions.

While we all notice how some may single out these alternate races, we fail to notice the potiential evils they can create also. Man is no exception though, they are also capable of generating evils and doing wrong. Humans are seen as evil due to conflicting views and actions. One man may not see the purity in anothers actions, therefore he is wrong. Or is is wrong for not fully explaining his purpose, which may be for a greater good. I am nigh saying that humans are perfect, for I know we are not. But our evils rival the other races's on a lower level, I think humans cannot contend in that department.

Humanity to me is not a word that defines a being, or race, but should define unity in a race. As humans we should collectively assemble to create greater goods and strive to better the future for our children. We should stand tall and rise above all persons and situations that oppose us. Unity will strengthen us. Our bonds will be what fuels our intentions and maintains our drive. If man was to think with all of "Humanity" in mind, then the outcomes of his actions, or fruits of his labor would be that much greater. Even if one is not the strongest fighter in the world, if upon to fight for mankind, hopefully preventing opression of some sort, we should do so with nigh a second thought. Tis the Unity that will Strengthen Humanity...tis what makes us whole.
