House of the Centaur
From Atlantic Roleplay Wiki
Title: House of the Centaur
Author:
A large Order of Knights who dedicated themselves to the defense of the city of Trinsic and all surrounding areas. When a horde of monsters laid siege to the walls of Trinsic, the Order harried them from behind, fighting them in hit and run maneuvers before evaporating into the forests. As wave after wave of foul creatures pounded the walls of the city, the brutally efficient assaults of the Knights began to take a toll on the rear and flanks of the army of ettins, orcs, and ogres outside Trinsic.
As the siege began to break on the walls of the city and the deadly defenses of the Trinsic Paladins, the monsters themselves sought sanctuary and retreat in the surrounding forests.
The Order of Knights harried them mercilessly, tracking the monsters as they dispersed, and decimated the retreating army of creatures. When the rout was complete, and the Knights returned to Trinsic to join up with the city's defenders, they were hailed as heroes and given much credit for the victory.
The Commander of the Knights, Sir Walton Pembroke, was elevated to Lordship of his own Noble House as a reward for the brave service of he and his men. They were named for the Centaur, in deference to the mystical and fearful aura they had achieved while stalking the terrified monsters throughout the Trinsic forests.
