Title: Grammar of the Wispish Language

Author: Hythlodaeus

Much has been said about the words that Wisps speak, but many who have not heard enough of the Wispish tounge are not aware of the basic patterns that make up Wispish grammar.

The language is suprisingly simple for creatures of such intellect as the Wisps.

The reason could be effeciency of communication, or it could be that they feel it necessary to simplify concepts for us humans.

The basic sentence of Wispish consists of one or two words followed by a punctuation. One word sentences can be a bit vauge, but the two word variety can bu understood easily.

Three word sentences are possible when an adverb is used.

Adverbs are not found in Wispish, except in a few cases. In these cases, the adverb is inseperable from the verb. They never appear apart from one another. Examples are "Tear apart" and "Jabber incomprehensibly."

Sometimes, two single-word sentences are combined to express a single idea, bypassing the need for the verb "to be" and other grammatical devices such as gerunds or modals.

The Wispish language as they currently choose to reveal to us is becomming increasingly known and documented. I feel as coming events unfold, the focus of study of the Wisps will shift towards their motivations and intentions for being in this dimension.
