The mage of the Council of Mages faction guild. Gilforn has spent most of his life researching moongates and teleportation. He studied the magic of the Moonglow Teleporters and used it to create others like those used at the various banks throughout the realm. Gilforn was choosen by the wisps to learn the secrets of the moongates and developed the modern moongate that allows travel between facets. He authored a number of books, including the Definitive Gate, and the Gate Travel and the Modern World tomes. He is also directly responsible for discovering the new city of Ilshenar.
Gilforn can still be seen occassionally and has been reported to be seen frequenting most of the moongate locations.
