Report of Wake of CrawWorth

On Saturday, the 24th of October, Trinsic Council of Honour. Held a wake for the dead hero, CrawWorth. It began at the Keg and Anchor, making a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Honour for a short speech given by Mayor Tanis Felorian.

Mayor Tanis speech: "-How to start? I doubt if any of us knew CrawWorth. Yet we heard of his deeds every day, either by the voices of the town cryers calling for us to aid him or from stories told to us by friends of battles against the evil paladin Jou'nar or the forces of the Zog Cabal. There were some who thought him a traitor Who accused him of working for the Cabal but then when he was rescued, found battered, bruised and confused, but still alive I knew he was a true son of Trinsic regardless of where he was born Those who read of his death were shocked. He had been exploring the New World. And when he found that his friend and companion had been attacked. He felt Honour-bound to defend him and help him. Even though it cost him his life and to far from any healer or mage, for any hope of resurrection. So what can we learn from This man? the CrawWorth? That Honour is a vital part of those who believe it even to the extent that you would lay down your life rather than lose honour. So, honour your Family and friends, do all you can to help and protect them because if you live with this virtue in your heart nothing can stop you, and nothing will get in your way. Honour be with you all."

Brimstone's Vendor at the Yew Cemetary

In an effort to clean out my bank box and my home, I have created a vendor named, Alijinor. She works at a small shop near the Yew Graveyard. If you go to the SW corner of the graveyard, near the Eternal Warriors Tower, you will see the house - it nearly touches the fence of the grave!

At any rate, I have many of the following items:

- Magic Halberds (All prepatch) - Magic Bardiches (Most are prepatch) - Magic Plate Armor (Prepatch) - Colored Armor - Bone Armor pieces - Magic Swords, Axes, Maces, Hammer Picks, etc. Most are anxhent (prepatch), thanks to Kagero and Turil for explaining the processes. FYI, silver magic items CANNOT be anchent (prepatch) - I didn't get to update that item yet, so ignore the anchent (prepatch) mention. If you buy it, I will reimburse you 400gp.

90% of this money will go to the guild fund, the other 10% will go in my pocket.

Soon, this vendor will sell 'deadly poisoned' weapons.

Enjoy!

Brimstone

Note from Vernagh: Adverticements will soon move to their own section.

Alliance with the Quill

I have reacently talked with an owner of smaller publication in Moonglow, called the Quill. The owner, Barador Morgray, who is a scribe at famous Lycaeum of Moonglow agreed to my proposition that I will publish the Quill inside mine own paper to make it available for wider audiance. The Quill hasth a full report of the famous Midwinter Ball that occured few years back, all written in his neutral perspective. Please visit the Quill section of the newspaper and if thou hasth a story to tell, do not hesitate to send it to the Quill.

Yew Fair

The Yew Fair is Announced for Saturday October 18, sponsored by the Yew Town Council. I am looking for ideas, and have already have many submitted. A rough, preliminary schedule is as follows: (All times are EST) Grand Council: 7:00, at the Court of Truth. A short meeting for all citizens and guilds involved in Yew, to discuss important issues, encourage people to join Yew institutions, and get ready for the...

Grand Parade: 7:30. All guilds will march, in the best formation we can get, to the Yew Town Center. We will attempt (I need volunteers for this!!) to make a huge painting of all the guilds, putting seperate paintings together. This will be follwed by shameless drinking at the bar, perhaps in the Winery or Counselor's Guild Hall.

Institute of Thought Meeting and Competitions: 8:00. The Institute of Thought will have its first meeting at the Empath Abbey Ankh Room, and will begin with a poetry and story contest. The entry fee is 500gp, and whoever wins, (the crowd is the judge) receives the pot. Please limit stories to a maximum of 3-5 minutes. This will then be followed by a discussion of the definitions of good and evil, and their applications and forms in the land of Britannia. The Insitute of Thought is open to anyone with an thoughful mind, and the guild will be signing people up at the meeting, for those who wish to become involved in studies in Britannia, and pondering important issues. Following the debate, there will be open topic discussion on any important issue, idea, or debate. Eventually, we will move over to the winery for more thought and discussions. If anyone would like to lecture or debate an opponent at this meeting, contact me.

Archery Contest: 8:45. For those less inclined to deep thought, there will be an archery contest at the archery buttes on the Yew Border. (Someone please tell me where they are!!) The contest will require 100gp to enter, and 50 arrows. Simply, you shoot at the target. We collect whatever arrows you miss, and whoever has the least will receive the prize, and whatever arrows we collected.

The Grand Tournament: The highlight of the night. All Knights, after paying the 200gp entry fee, will enter an unspecified (to avoid trouble) until the event area, where Knights will battle one on one. There will be two seperate divisonns, mounted and foot combat, obviously, one with horses and the other without. The fights will all be to the death or yeild, whoever dies or yeilds first looses all he has - horse, armour, everything, in the fashion of honorable tournaments. Plus, you collect that players entry fee. The fights will be bracketed, and you can drop out with your winnings at any times, as long as the next battles have not been announced. This will be followed by the

GUILD RUMBLE: Whenever the one on one tournaments are done, warring guilds can take it out in the fighting arena. Battles are winner takes all - the only rule is NO cheating.

Also, I need many, many, many, volunteers for this - I am not going to individually run each event, I will only supervise (except for the Institute Meeting). If no one volunteers for the event, then it will not happen. Please contact if you wish to volunteer, and send me a message "I volunteer to help with..." Please, do not send mail to me to sign up for any events. Declare guild wars in the time before the rumble, you needn't contact me about them. I do need, however, ideas for more events - please only if you are willing to control them yourself. Thanks, and hope to see you there!
