Title: Experimental Spells
Author: Nas'Rath
In this book I shall explain a couple experimental spells I have been working on, Shatter Faith and Summon Shadow Elemntal. Both spells have equal usefulness and if I am correct, can be a great boon to the Society.
The first, Shatter Faith, is designed to make lightbringers nothing more than mindless slaves. My test subject performed beyond my expectations, thereby making this spell an absolute possibility. Let me explain. When the words "An Lor Quas" are spoken along with the appropriate gestures, the target becomes quite insane. He hears voices which tell him/her the follies of Lord British and his Virtues, suffers from intense nausia, becomes severely weak, and also deforms him to the point where his humanity is unrecogniseable. After this has taken it's course and the madness leaves them, they become nothing more than mindless slaves. This spell, however, does not effect those with evil auras, as I have tried this on Tyrael and he is uneffected. The reagents used in this spell are hard to come by, but worth it. What I am talking about is thus: the head of a lich, the brain of an orc lord, a holy weapon, and the blood and scale of a silver serpent. While these may seem like easy tasks for a group, I would not recommend going at this alone. The second spell also drives the subject into my most favorite form of entertainment, madness. The summoning of a shadow elemental has been unheard of until now. Shadow elementals were only found in Khaldun, but with the use of the words "Kal Nox Hur Xen" one can be summoned and possess a single target. The reagents are surprisingly easy to obtain if one knows where to find them. Simply a serpent's scale, a piece of shadow ore from the city of the dead, and blackrock dust. However, the ritual done to ensure that the elemental possesses the target and not yourself is quite lengthy. It requires a place of pure evil, the ashes of wood from a "binding tree" and a "giving tree", a nearby flow of lava and water, and the person casting the spell must be of the purest darkness. Now the actual ritual is simple, you must first cleanse the host with fire, then water, afterwards weaken the host's body by whatever means you wish. You must burn the wood from the "giving tree" first, collect the ashes, and spread them on the host's forehead, then do the same with the wood from the "binding tree", and spread them over the ashes from the "giving tree", symbolic of the dark overtaking the light. After this you must summon the shadow elemental, and it shall possess the host, making him/her rather insane and as weak as a child.
a note is tucked into
the page* I hope
these are beneficial,
Lord Artisem. I
believe I may be able
to use a power crystal
to amplify the
"Shatter Faith" spell
to use on all of
Skara Brae at once.
