Gargish Dragon: Greetings! Excuse me being late but I was following this matter in Trinsic. Trinsic called for help, so the militia went and saw what they could do. A ghost by the name of Sir Simon appeared and led us to the ruins of former Paws, as it seems. I do not know more as of now.

Gargish Dragon: Keuldan, it is good to see you again, please have a seat

Keuldan Vraal: as it is you Mayor. Many thanks but I shall stand

Gargish Dragon: Dear citizens of Yew, dear friends and allies. I am glad that you attend this meeting. It has been a long time since we last gathered in this way and I felt the need that we take up the tradition of open meetings once again. First, let me speak a few words of thanks. I thank Zenda for the great work she does as Militia Captain. The Militia has a good name and it is known for their deeds. The Militia gets more recruits each day. Of course, all members of the Militia share this success! Thank you for your great work.

SunWolf: Thank you for all the help everyone has given us aswell

Clementine: Well done brave Militia Men and Women

SunWolf: Takes a team effort to keep Yew safe

Malicite: its been an honor

Gargish Dragon: Keep up the good spirit! My next thanks go to the West Yew University. The University is doing a great job in showing young citizens how to make their way in this, our difficult society. I am glad that the University exists. Silver Dryad, you and your teachers are doing a great job. Thank you a lot.

Seer Nikademus: *nods in agreement*

Keuldan Vraal: Aye to that!

Covet: and thank ye much

Gargish Dragon: Another person I must mention is Lord Rainbow King who helps the militia a lot. Thanks for your support!

Rainbow King: My pleasure

SunWolf: Yes thank you

Malicite: thanks Lord Rk

Seer Nikademus: Hopefully with his help, all the militia will be defeating the likes of FoA *smiles*

Gargish Dragon: I hope we will overcome all scum like the FOA

Tara: 'bout time we got rid of the evil minions

SunWolf: i noticed there leader was out

Seer Nikademus: *smirks*

Gargish Dragon: Alright.. I want to proceed with council matters. The first issue is the frequency of council meetings. I think we should have a regular schedule for council meetings. My idea was to have them weekly or bi-weekly. I also would like to know what you think about the time. So what do you think of this time?

Rehan: Tis good

Keuldan Vraal: excellent

SunWolf: aye

Sheena: aye

Rainbow King: *nods*

Dnalnif: yepp very good

Covet: Little early for me, but ok

Gargish Dragon: My idea was to have it convenient for most, if not all of you

Aethylmar: works for me

Keuldan Vraal: I would think that few people are working on Sundays

Tara: It does not go up against any guild meetings that I know of

Rehan: *is working right now*

Gargish Dragon: We might push it further by 1 hour if people want to attend Trinsic meetings but I will put a poll on our information site. This will also have a poll on the frequency of meetings.

Seer Nikademus: *focuses his sight on the events currently unfolding in Trinsic*

Aethylmar: *looks expectantly at the Seer*

Seer Nikademus: *returns*

Gargish Dragon: I understand the importance of the Trinsic matter and if we get an urgent call for support I am sure we will be able to provide support.

SunWolf: Miltia is there right now

Seer Nikademus: I will keep you posted on details. They are currently searching the countryside for a man. No news on his location, however.

Aethylmar: what kind of man?

Seer Nikademus: A drunkard. I quickly left the area to avoid confusion.

Gargish Dragon: Are there any questions regarding the date and time of meetings?

Keuldan Vraal: I hope it isnt me they are looking for

SunWolf: I have none

Seer Nikademus: *shakes head* This time is good

SunWolf: bi-weekly might be better. More news to report then.

Rehan: Aye biweekly is good.

Gargish Dragon: Alright.. let me do two announcements before I continue with normal business. Silver Dryad asked me to announce that Covet is now officially in charge of the University. Silver Dryad will still be around, though. The information on the website will be updated.

Gargish Dragon:. The other thing to announce is the weekly meeting of the Militia. Militia members should already know this, but the weekly meeting is at 9 pm EST on Thursdays. So if you have news or events to report and want to make sure to find someone this is the time to report.

Gargish Dragon: I will now come to my next issue. We have a great Militia.. but I would like to see more civilians in our town. I want to make the offer to every merchant to become a citizen of Yew. I want to offer this to everyone. I do not want to raise any requirements on Citizenship as I feel we are an open council and so we should accept all who want to become citizens. I would like to hear your opinion on this issue. I am sure you have concerns..

Ash: *wants to be a citizen*

Aethylmar: What of Murderers and thieves?

Gargish Dragon: As for murderers and thieves, of course, we do not tolerate these. Our justice will take care of criminals, as they are known

Aethylmar: will citizens be able to expect actual enforcement of the laws in terms of membership on the town stone? What I mean is: will it be possible to put a thief on trial to be removed from the stone? as they can steal from fellow citizens with impunity

Gargish Dragon: This will depend on the verdict of our Justice. The ultimate punishment is banishment from town. Losing all citizen rights. Are there more questions?

Keuldan Vraal: A suggestion for the townstone becareful in who you let on there are those who would exploit the advantages. Ive seen it happen with disasterous results

Ash: we could have an application process

Tara: They can be stifling...

Gargish Dragon: I understand your concerns, Keuldan. I do not want a rigid application process, but I think we have a base now that we can work from

SunWolf: Mayor, Sheena had something

Gargish Dragon: Of course, we will see that new citizens are announced, and if there are concerns about a new citizen, we should investigate.

Keuldan Vraal: Aye, a keen mind or eye can usually spot the trouble makers, (MaTaKiLLa)

Gargish Dragon: Sheena? you have a question?

Sheena: Yes perhaps we could enhance citizenship by offering more services - such as a mage shop? To promote tradesmen to migrate here

Gargish Dragon: I understand the concern

Rehan: Many will come for the shop, but not stay after they have made a purchase.

Gargish Dragon: Sheena is asking about improving services like a mage shop. I understand that a mage shop would increase the number of people that visit but would it do good?

Rehan: I am not sure that it would....I do have an idea that I am working on

Aethylmar: It may certainly harm the trade of Reagents behind the abbey, there are a fair number of vendors there that would be out of a job

Seer Nikademus: *nods*

Gargish Dragon: There are several shops selling reagents, I think

Dyluck Blade: If we get a lot of the more visited shops, we'll just be a pretty britain.

SunWolf: also near SCT

Tara: Feh, you can't trust mages anyway...

Malicite: but this for Yew not for a person

Gargish Dragon: Maybe we should just offer more information about the shops that alread exist

Seer Nikademus: *shudders at the concept of Yew becoming like Britain*

Rehan: it has been a pet project of mine for a while....I have been working on a Center of Commerce idea for a while now. It started because the LOA Ring of Merchants is in need of space. And we were trying to find a tower, and also use it well. The idea would be to set up one location where all tradesman may come together to work and to sell their goods.

Rainbow King: You're trying to find a tower in Yew?

Rehan: Aye, tis very difficult, though I am working on completing a sale now. But a place where many vendors are selling a variety of wares would bring many

Gargish Dragon: Rehan, I like the idea. The tower would be open for all merchants who want to do business?

Rehan: I would like to look at something like that, space is limited though. And I would not want to have poorly run vendors.

Gargish Dragon: In fact, if space is limited there might be requirements for merchants

Dyluck Blade: Citizens should get priority then

Gargish Dragon: I heard there are problems when there are too many vendors in a tower

Tara: They do tend to make it impossible to pass through the area with their constant calling

Pyros: I had a similar idea to Rehan's only mine is slightly different. Since space is limited, I figured we could take contracts with some of the more reliable shop owners to specialize in a certain field. So one of these people would only sell regs. Another would sell weapons then we would promote these shops this way, people would know where they can get things quickly. Often when I need a specific item, I'll have to goto 20 or 30 vendors just top find it. If we centralize "armor" or "regs" or "weapons" we know where to go...to get the item that we need. This will also increase the busincess of the shop owener other vendors will see this and desire to relocate here hopeing to get in on some of this action. Thus increasing accessabiblity and population

Gargish Dragon: Actually, I like this idea, but maybe we should not forget the existing vendors

Pyros: Well they would be brough into the fold bit by bit if we start with a few vendors of reputation who are easy to find others will desire to join our "community"

Gargish Dragon: I would like to get some feedback on "good" vendors

Pyros: Unfortunatly I am unable to provide you with a list of vendors

Gargish Dragon: No, I did not expect that, Pyros. I just wished that people keep their eyes open and send the council information about their favourite ones.

Pyros: as you wish sir.

Rehan: It is unfortunate that there is no way we could get a place like tis near town.

Gargish Dragon: As for placing a tower.. I see the problem but do we really need a tower?

Rehan: The reason I chose a large building istwofold. is twofold even. First this project began as a way to increase my units avaliable work area. Second a tower has space for all the addons. So it can be a work area, not just a mall of sorts.

Rainbow King: Mayor, if I may start a new subject before too many people have left

Gargish Dragon: I would suggest we keep this issue hot and please discuss it on our message board I would like to see more of this idea. Thank ye!

Rehan: I shall write a memorandum up on it.

Rainbow King: Earlier you mentioned our Chief Justice. But like almost all public positions they're not really filled actively anymore.

Seer Nikademus: Mayor, will this meeting make it to print somewhere? I must depart

Gargish Dragon: Yes, Nikademus it will be on our information site. Fare thee well and thank ye for attending

Rainbow King: Will there be any way those positions will be officialised again?

Gargish Dragon: Alright.. talking about positions. I would like to see more of the positions being active again. I havent heard much of the Chief Justice, but then we didn't have much cases to handle. as for other positions...

Rainbow King: Perhaps the lack of a Chief Justice can explain the lack of cases aswell

Gargish Dragon: Not really..As I see it since we have not many citizens we don't have the need for trials. I expect that to change if we get more citizens. But there are other positions as well. I would like to have someone for the Chamber of Commerce again. This is why I was asking for experience with current shops as well as possible new ones. Are there any other suggestions for positions we should try to establish?

Pyros: Not just a reporter, but a newspaper?

Gotter McVay: Mynister of Defence?

Gargish Dragon: I think the Minister of Defense would be handled quite well by the Captain of the Militia

Gargish Dragon: Now we had the position of Guild Relations

Keuldan Vraal: we should keep that position, it has much potential was it Lori that had filled it last?

Gargish Dragon: Lori was the last one to fill that position. What other positions would you think of?

SunWolf: what does the position do?

Ash: combined with public relations in general

Clementine: Milord Mayor what if the Guild Relations position was perhaps combined or expanded to that of a guilds event coordiantor of sorts. What I suggest is... A person who learns of and informs others of the various Yew guilds events- Is it possible to have these said events announced by a town crier?

Gargish Dragon: I agree that the position should relay information of events to the Council

Tara: Sort of like a guild town crier?

Clementine: exactly in fact I think if this could be achieved it would greatly increase activity in the Yew area

Gargish Dragon: this sounds like a good idea

Keuldan Vraal: I would like to make a motion to call this meeting to an end if ther are no further pending topics

Malicite: may i ask a question?

Gargish Dragon: Sure

Malicite: would you ever consider holding like a Yew faire? something where folk can come and win prizes or get a tour.

Gargish Dragon: Aye.. that was my last issue actually. I have already spoken to several. My idea is to have a team contest lets say teams of 4

Malicite: *mumbles pie eating contest*

Gargish Dragon: Each team would ahve to complete several tasks that require a variety of skills. There would be several small taks awarded with points and in the end the team with the highest score wins

Rainbow King: *wonders why the team with the lowest score never wins*

Gargish Dragon: The team would have to make sure to have both fighters and merchants. I think we should have the faire at this time and maybe going later into the evening. Maybe in two or three weeks so we can prepare. I will post an announcement for discussion

Gargish Dragon: I ask for questions and after that I want to conclude the meeting

Malicite: *hand*

Ash: Can I be a citizen today please?

Gargish Dragon: Ash: yes you can. Ask me after the meeting

Malicite: with this meeting do you play to be on more? playing a more active role in Yew?

SunWolf: Garish is around alot I see him in studies moslty

Gargish Dragon: I will try to be on as much as possible but I can't promise too much. I will try to start with regular meetings.

Gargish Dragon: So I am going to close this meeting now. As always, feel free to discuss all matters on our message board.
