This is reposted from OES documentation for the pleasure of the Atlantic Community. Story by Antonitus of OES.

Back when I was know as Antonitus the Noble, I was still alive, and believed in the virtues that are held up by the guards of the same name. Yet the lucrative nature of not following the straight and narrow eventually brought down the morals that I had been taught through years of conformity to the so Ignoble Lord British.

I changed myself into a Chaos guard, killing the Virtuous on Sight, and leaving there bodies and armor on the pavement of Britain for the thieves and rats to pick apart. This life became lost on a faithful day when a coordinated attack of several virtue guards attacked and slew my body under the arch of the poor. I begged a healer to take pity on my soul as I was no longer of the mortal coil, and was resurrected despite his aversion to those of my kind.

I was stripped of my rank as Chaos guard so I was exiled to the woods west of Britain by the infamous X-Roads where so many peasants and Lords alike have lost their lives to Brigands and other such Highwaymen. It was here where I learned the skills of provocation, no not like those of the bard, but true provocation. Thus I stole from certain chosen souls to the point where they attacked my visibly unassuming body and I smote them with a heavy cross bow before they had a realization of the error of their ways. It was during this period that a noble group known as the Sentinals of Moonglow approached me, and they offered to take me into their guild and reform me. The guild did not last long under the poor leadership of one who shall remain nameless and during the time of the guilds falling out I found a guild that seemed to be suited to my unique sense of evil and "fair play". The Order of the Ebon Skull invited me to join their ranks not explaining exactly who, or what they were. When I went to join their ranks I noticed something very odd about their appearance. The guild master seemed to have a strange of color tint to him, and guards at the Guild tower looked much like skeletons I had slew at Deceit, perhaps it was just their armor?

I entered into the frightening rooms of the guild tower, and followed the leader as he ascended the stairs to guild stone. Next to the stone there were stacks of skulls and I began to realize that what I was about to become involved in was more serious than I had hoped for. I went to the stone and touched the Ebon Skull that sat upon it.

A shock of searing pain shot through my body as I felt the life flowing out through my fingertips and into the skull, I collapsed in a heap on the cold stone floor. My eyes opened and the tower seemed not as dark and I seemed to have a feeling of indifference to my surroundings. I was told that I was now a cadaver and was to prove myself to the guild. This was a standard issue guild requirement so I left and found my way to the IronWood Inn for a night of rest. As I entered the room I turned to the mirror, as I was a very vain person, before the guild that is. What I saw made me fall over. My nose had shrunken into my facial cavity, my eyes sunken back, and my hair straw-like and brittle, I was a corpseā€¦
