The fight did not last long, while attempting to block the grasp of a rotting corpse, a bolt of energy hit Daren from the side and his corpse was thrown through a the barricade, landing in a bloody, lifeless heap a short distance from the cities walls. Very few knew it at the time, but Daren was a very lucky man, for if he had died within the city his corpse would have been animated into the lifeless service of the undead army of Juo'nar.

The message Daren had sent was received by Lord Dupre and it saved several lives as no other task forces were sent into the city in hope of freeing the living, as there were none. Darens corpse was discovered after Lord British had asked the citizens of Britannia to aid the city of Trinsic. The corpse was taken back to the camp that Dupre had established and was later buried within the Britain Graveyard.
