Daemons. They are powerful creatures, who serve Oblivion unquestioningly in their crusade of death and suffering. Several powerful mages have been able to call forth from the Netherworld, these mighty beasts to carry out their own tasks. Those Daemons in the wild, however exist only to kill. There are very few Daemons in this plane of existence. Some have been seen in the mage's city of Wind, but only on rare occasions. Daemons are usually killed on sight, for anyone in their right mind knows that a daemon would not hesitate to attack anyone near them. I myself have have never seen a Daemon, but those who have, and were not strong enough to defeat it, did not live through the encounter. Some sad souls are trapped wandering in vast maze-like tunnels deep underground searching for a way to the surface and life. I doubt they shall ever find their way, however. Those who defeated Daemons, were usually rewarded with about six hundred gold pieces, and some scrolls of magic. I know of very few people who have defeated Daemons without help from others, and if you are wandering alone in the mountain lands that bleed molten lava like the blood of dying bodies, be wary for the glint of the Daemonic Sword, which will surely cut you down.
