Title: Blackrock and its Kind
Author: Grant, Alchemist
Blackrock, perhaps the most dangerous of reagents, has been getting quite a bad reputation since those followers of armegeddon fellows came to town those many years ago.
However research is still done on the remaining peices that are scattered in Sosaria. Should even one peice fall into the wrong hands history could repeat itself.
Blackrock is an immense source of power, in fact it has the energy that the ethereal realm uses. It is a weightless reagent and is a dark shadow color, hence blackrock. Blackrock is not the purest form. The purest form of crystalline blackrock is very rare. There was only one report on it. Then it will go to blackrock and then blackmoore.
Blackrock is used in some spells, mainly death ones. However its main purpose was to be used for the Armegeddon spell.
Blackrock has no counter-partner, that is to say nothing could be used against it. However its lesser form, blackmoore, hold much les of its higher brothers power. Maybe 1000 blackmoore's would equal one or even less of one blackrock!
Blackmoore is used in lesser spells but dangerous ones none the less. Many necromancers seek out such a reg for their own experiments and spells. Some such spells include ones that cause harm or binding. Now unlike blackrock, blackmoore has a counter reagent, belladonna or more commonly known as Nightshade.
Mandrake is used for the uses where blackmoore would be used in these times. Now, one may channel the blackmoores energy into any spell the caster wishes.
However, nightshade can reverse its ability of power by making the blackmoore sick and weak. A mixture of four parts nightshade poured onto a blackmoore will make the blackmoore sick and throw up its white fleshy insides till its power is removed. This can be used for dispelling purposes or deflections. Now it seems to me that when grinded into a paste it
