Dear Mal,

I write to you from a make-shift office in my new home. From my window here, I can see the fires of the West gate of Umbra.

My rooms are filled with the sent of uncorrupted trees outside. There is a quiet here which allows my mind to focus.

I'm grateful you brought me here and for you continuing our friendship when I returned.

I enclosed a rune for you. You are welcome to visit as you wish, but relay it to no-one yet, please.
