Greetings from your friends in the Velvet Shroud, Governor. I am Nolin Zar. I am your friend. Though you rejected the hand of friendship offered by my servant, I do not resent you. I understand that not all see the world with enlightened eyes as we do. You will learn some day. One day you will see. Death will come for you. Death is your friend. This is not a threat. The ones who threaten you are the Council of Mages. Their ways are vile. Their practices are wicked. They resent us. They kill without remorse, they reap without thought or conscience. They are your enemy. They are our enemy. We are your friends. I present to you this gift. We have harvested a number of mages who belonged to the Council. They attempted to hide it.
They pretended they were not. No one can hide from Death. What they have sown, we have reaped. Their heads are a gift to you. A gift from a friend. A gift from Nolin Zar. Your path. Our path. It is in alignment. Our goals are as one. Eliminate the Council of Mages. They will trouble the Velvet Shroud and Crux Ansata no longer. Moonglow will be free of their influence, of their taint. Of their declarations that all ways other than their own are heresy. Eliminate them. In this, the Velvet Shroud is your ally, the Velvet Shroud is your friend. We approve of your methods.
