Your Majesty,
It is my duty and honor to report to you that the Rangers of Skara Brae carry out their charge with pride and haste. It would stand as an example to all other guilds in the realm should his highness choose to acknowlege them publicly for their efforts.
It is my pleasure, also, to report that the Mines of Minoc appear to be as deep and as full of wealth as the sea itself is of life. To quote one of the talking mules, pardon me...miners, "The mine seems unending and we are honored to be the ones who free his Majesty's riches for him."
The mages of Moonglow seem to have allowed the mastery of the arcane to foster a bit of hubris within their ranks. My visit aroused suspicion that his majesty does not trust the order rather than the more appropriate reaction of welcoming respect for a representative the true power of this world.
The Farmers of Britain struggle, your majesty. Crops did not return the yield as hoped. I donated a portion of my wage to help ease the immediate hardship. But the crop failure must be addressed.
Subjects who do not eat, often rebel.
And finally, allow me to be the bearer of the most distressing news of all and the receiver of any punishment due those who speak the truth to power. Your waters are infested with pirates. These villains routinely attack shipments and maroon innocent sailors on remote islands to wither and die in service of their Lord.
May this report find you in good time and stead. Your Servant, Ruakh.
