To make matters worse it is Auris’ turn to play an action. Auris announces that he will use Lilyth’s tactician action and focuses Black Mirror of Steel giving Lilyth 2 extra attack power. Now Lilyth has 6 attack, Porthos still has 8 and Aya has 3 for a total of 17. Athlon knows he can use his second Twin Tactics but he would still not have enough force. Athlon announces he will pass. Auris wins the battle since the attacking army has 17 attack and the defending army only has 12. Auris and Athlon subtract 12 from 17 and compare the value to the province strength which is five. Because 17-12 is 5 the province is not destroyed. An attacking army has to have more attack than the province strength in order to destroy it. Athlon now just has Porthos in play and knows the game has turned against him.
