This image started off as a basic education on Moon light, but somehow grew to be a bit more. I kept asking people to name a person who's name should be on the grave in game. Darrien was tempting. But I thought hard and finally decided that perhaps a tiny, red rose would be what'd be constantly kept on the grave, courtesy of Tati's love.

Should put:
"Here lies Hummer" at the bottom. |

Hrmmm, I think other landscapes you've done have been a lot more successful. I think the biggest problem is the angle. It's not dramatic at all, sort of boring. But beyond that, the angle really demonstrates a shortcoming of 3d textures on flat things: The ground texture is very visibly flat and not at all like a ground. It's sort of like someone tried painting a camo outfit design on cement. Moving the camera position would help this a lot.
I'm not really digging the dragons either. 3 perfectly diagonal dragons in varying stages of flight like that sort of looks like it's a motion drawing of a single object. Unless you are aiming for this to be more like high art and the dragons are a representation of the flow of time.
Another huge thing just jumped out at me: The moon is in front of the clouds, and lighting doesn't seem to be coming from it. I'm not sure if it's night and light should be, though, or if it's just a cloudy day. |
