|
Town cryers are heard reading the decree from scrolls all over the lands of Luna and Greater Malas.
The Royal Court has decreed that all lands once held by former members of the Royal Court have reverted back to Royal Court control and are governed under the laws of the Royal Court of Light in Luna.
Those that enhabit those lands are free to stay but will be subject to the soverign laws of the Royal Court and are responsible for their own and their associates actions while living within the boarders of the Royal Court.
Those that enhabit lands that are within the boarders of the Royal Court, no matter their affiliations with other governments of Sosaria, are subject to the laws of the Royal Court while within the boarders of the Royal Court and not any other sovernty.
Their ownership is limited to only their personal property and no more than six paces of land radiating from their building. This land can not be claimed as sovern by any other government. The lands surrounding that personal property are governed by the Royal Court.
Should any property owner affected by this decree wish to restablish membership in the Royal Court on an individual basis they can persue it at the Royal Court meeting by following the Official Request Proceedures for Membership. Their membership will be duely considered at that time.
The seals of the Grand Duke and Duchess and the Royal Court of Light are affixed to the bottom of the decree with a red and a gold ribbon under each.
The town cryers repeat the Decree every half hour throught the day for the next several days so all of the residents of the lands of the Royal Court hear the decree.
A scribed copy of the decree is posted on all the bulletin boards across the lands of Sosaria.
Messengers are sent out to all of the former members of the Royal Court and all of the national leaders of Sosaria carring a copy of the decree. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel

Asher walks by, noticing the letter. Tapping his chin, he thinks... "So... I guess Royal Court now owns Sanctus." _________________

While she was shopping in Luna she noticed the flyer up at the bank. After reading it, she shook her head. What a precarious position the Duchess is in now. I hope she realizes the dire consequences this rash action may cause, she thought to herself.
If she feared war before, she may now have brought it to her doorstep. She thought more, with a slight "sigh", she will learn how close her enemies truly are to her. _________________ "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."

Malorn caught sight of the decree whilst reading over the builletin board in Luna.
Staring intently at the form he muttered to himself "Now any will be respinsible." A coy grin crossed his lips and he chuckled sardonically as he walked away.

A paige clad in black and gold hands the King a copy of the proclamation.
"A wise move. Inform the Duchess that Sanctus stands behind the Royal Court and will back them politically and militarily."
"Yes, Sire," said the paige as he rushed off to Luna.
Grabbing a quill and ink from the table, the King quickly composed a message.
***************************************
Matriarch Ab'Arawn,
The Trammel Lords are beginning their plot to encroach upon Malas, starting with Luna. Lady Molly and I have not forgotten the agreement, and I'm sure you haven't either.
Sanctus and Umbra can resume the fight after the dogs have been sent screaming back to Serpent's Hold with their tail between their legs.
I await your answer.

The page arrived and she sent him to the kitchen for a bite while she wrote a response to the king.
Greetings Talon,
I thank you for your support. After our discussion last evening at the arrest of Lord Isk I am glad that we will once again stand as a unit against possible encroachment.
I will keep you informed of the backlash from this decree so that we are prepared should it come to war.
Yours in friendship and Light,
Molly
When the page returned from the kitchen she handed him the parchment and he headed back to Sanctus. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel

She stood in the shadows of the trees near the Empress's home and watched as a crier appeared, perking a brow she slowly faded from sight and reappeared behind the crier,"if that is a decree for the Empress I will see that she gets it..,"she said as she crier jumped and turned to look at her,his face as white as snow. Dropping her hood she smiled softly a small smirk playing at her lips,"do not worry...if I meant you harm you would have been dead before you even knew it..,"she said as he handed her the parchment slowly then stepped back. Reaching into her pouch she pulled out a few coins and tossed them to him,"thank you..,"she said then watched as he quickly moved past her heading for the safety of Luna unrolling the decree she read it over quietly then shook her head,"foolish..."
Rerolling the decree she slipped it into the folds of her robe and moved inside, passing a few servants who bowed to her then went about their business. Hearing a familiar giggle coming from one of the rooms she stopped and peered inside to see the Empress's daughters playing with her son Kisho, giving them a nod she moved quietly into the Empress's office then froze staring at a man whom she had never seen before, her hand moving quickly to her war forks,"relax Galadriel...,"Rryn said quietly causing her to relax and nod,"m'lady...I have a decree you may wish to read over..,"she said as she placed it into the hands of the Empress then stepped back and waited quietly, her dark eyes remaining on the strange man. |

Deep in close conversation, the arrival of Galadriel went unnoticed by Rryn but the look upon the man's face as she pointed her weapons at him caused her to turn quickly.
" Relax Galadriel.. though he appears virile and strong, he poses no harm to me or any here." Rryn laughed.
Opening the parchment and reading it over, Rryn thanked Galadriel for bringing it to her and, asking her to remain, she passed the parchment to the man across from her.
"Seems your news of the issues in Luna has now proven to be true as of this decree." she stated to the man.
He nodded to her as he read over the decree. It was exactly as he had describe the news he had brought her. Seemed the Duchess was of the belief from some that those that left the Royal Court were trying to take over it.
"Why would we leave something if we were trying to take it over? It would seem more to look at those that were trying to get close and fill ones head with fantasies of war would be the ones you would look at closer." she spoke quietly to the man and Galadriel. "Seems we have some things to think over."
They both nodded agreement.
Glancing at Galadriel she saw the curious look of hers towards the man seated before her.
Smiling she said " Galadriel...I know you have known of him, though not known him personally, as he has been under employ quietly. I would like you to meet our warlord and strategist... |

"The name's Asher." He bowed his head towards Galadriel. "Battlefield promotions are bitter sweet. But acceptable nonetheless. They happened all the time while I was away fighting in Felucca for Dupree."
The two of them nodded at him. Asher smiled.
"I won't bore you with war stories of the past. Just know that I'm ready to serve in my new position. Hopefully I will actually get to serve this time. The last few times I've been ready for war, the opponent backed out and ran into their castle with their tail between their legs. Happens... quite often. Am I just that good?" Asher smirked, his confidence in his ability as conceited as ever. "Those of the arcane do strike fear into others rather easy. It's why we're better." Asher looked over Rryn and Galadriel, who seemed still just as amused as before; being not at all. He nodded once again to the both of them.
"I take my leave for now, then. Send word when the training should begin." _________________

Spawn was in his sparring room kneeling in deep meditation with his bokuto laying down in front of him. His servant entered the room as quiet as he could with some sort of scroll in his hand.
"What is it?" Spawn said as he slowly opened his eyes. The servant walked towards the sparring area bowing slightly.
"I'm sorry to interupt your meditation sire but I saw something that might interest you" replied the servant. Spawn stood to his feet and began to walk towards the servant. The servant held out the scroll for him to take and read.
"Thank you my friend..." Spawn said taking the scroll from the servant. The servant nodded and moved off to the side watching Spawn read over the scroll.
"Will that be all sire?" asked the servant. Spawn nodded slowly as he crumpled up the scroll dropping it to the ground. The servant picked up the crumpled scroll and exited the room. Spawn picked up his bokuto and went down to his study to pondering Molly's decree.
"So it's come down to this... how interesting" he said pacing back and forth in his study. "If they want to take my house... they are going to have to take it from my cold dead hands" Spawn continued as he walked to a window staring out into the city of Sanctus. "If Molly or anyone shows the slightest aggression towards me... I shall strike them down" Spawn sighed as he walked out of his study. He said the magic words to recall and headed for his home to spend time with his wife and son. _________________

Ceinwyn ab'Arawn wondered why Spawn chose that moment to come look out of his window. It really didn't matter, though, because it didn't change the fact that it brought him face to face with her as she stared into his home.
She offered an almost embarassed smile and cloaked his mind from seeing her.
Then she headed to Umbra. |

The Elf was standing, alone, on a tall branch of a tree in his garden. As the chilly winds of the mountains of Malas was singing in his pointy ears, Legerion noticed one of his white falcon flying towards him, carrying a letter.
A few moments later, as the falcon swiftly flew over the elf's head, dropping the decree on his shoulder, the winds changed and the piece of parchemin dropped in the grass, opening itself. The elf elegantly jumped off the tree and picked up the piece of parchemin and quickly read it's words.
"Power has gone to her head... lesser elves truly envy the will of humans to control all that affects them.."
The elf rolled up the parchemin and called his horse as he picked up a rune for Luna. _________________ Legerion Sorcafor
