Royal Court of Light in Luna

The Royal Court of Light in Luna Charges Lord Isk of Maginicia with the Following:

Conspiracy to Commit Murder *three charges*

Aggravated Assault *three charges*

Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault of a Minor *name withheld*

Court date & time will be the Forteenth day of February, at 21:30 by the Easter Sky.

The case will be heard at the Royal Court of Light in Luna by the Honorable
Halistar Mariner, Circuit Court Judge.

The accused will be represented by his son.

Procicuters will be Kathleen Kingston for the Royal Court of Light and
Marcus M’Real for the Kingdom of Sanctus.

Any person having bearing on this case should contact the Royal Court of Light before the case to show provcenance.

Sadira walked passed the notice. Her gaze softly falls upon it as she reads. She then rereads it again.

What day is it?


She asked herself, as she went over it again to ensure she didn't miss it. She sighs and continues towards the bakery so that she may get some supplies. Perhaps they will post an update, she thought to herself as she bought some honey and flour.

Franticly he rushed from city to city making the correction on the papers grumbling about his forgetfulness. Carefully he pens in the date for the trial for the Forteenth of February.

The flyer caught Malorn's eye as he stepped through Sanctus to stretch his legs. A thought crossed his mind at the sight.

So... your tactlessness has finally caught up with you. Let us see how you weasle your way from this one. The trial should prove most interesting.

He made his way back to his room at Hanse's to begin the senario.

On her way back from putting Pip down at his favored stables, Ditto glanced a document flyer that caught her eye. It was the announcement for the trial she had attended earlier in the eve.

The reminder made her put her fingers to her temples. As interesting as the trial had been, at least the part she had been there for, it was more Order and Law and the like. Her Chaotic mind could stand only just so much of a court of Law.
Ditto had tried to be good in the audience. At first anyway. She was interested in the outcome of the trial and Isk's fate. But time spent in the chlostrophobic confines of the courtroom and a few words from the accusing council that didn't set well with her, made her snap slightly. And she was thrown out.

She was very curious as to the outcome, but had not heard a thing the remainder of the night. She wondered, as she went on her journey back to Dark Cove, just what had happened to Isk.

Molly let out a long sigh as she crawled into bed next to Will. He had gone to bed shortly before her and was already asleep, exausted from the long night of legal proceedings. As she lay there staring up at the cealing she went over the day's events in her mind.

The decree, the debating all day long between her, Porthos, Poshe and Talon. She was already exausted when she arrived at the courthouse which was already in session. She was notified by Kathleen that she would be called shortly and to please come. Dragging herself away from the mounds of papers and notes of the day's proceedings she walked to the door rubbing her temples and then her eyes. She raised her arms up arching her back as she grabbed her cloak. Taking a look around she walked to the porch, closing it behind her.

She was briefed as to what had happened so far periodically by pigeon from Shihan who was acting as Court Baliff. Apparently there was an arrangement made but Isk had opted to go to trial on two counts of Aggrivated Assault instead of taking the plea bargin that was worked out previously. He pleaded no contest on the charges to do with Sanctus and her daughter but he refused to accept the plea bargan and went with the counts regarding her and her husband. There was much shuffling of papers and debate, so Shihan said in his note, but the trial got underway and was going well. She knew their side had a strong case and as evidence came to light, he said it was looking very good for the prosicution. Shihan was even unsure if they would call her because it was so stacked in their favor. But in the end she did get the call to come to court and so she made her way to the courthouse.

In the end the charges were reduced but he was found guilty of two crimes. This pleased her as she thought back on it. She awaited the formal statement that was to be published. The restitution she entended to give to the needy but she was truly glad that finally he would pay for his actions. It was a good verdict and the legal team did an outstanding job.

Yawning, she rolled over and kissed Will on the cheek and nestled her head into the pillow. Just before she dozed off she frowned, saddened by the tought of the rift that had grown over the past few weeks between the Regency and the Royal Court. She knew there was not much to be done about it this night but she intended to speak to a few people over the next few days to assess the damages that such rifts do produce and make determinations on how to handle what would come in the future. She just wanted to put some safegards in place for the court and it's people. She hadn't wanted the land but Talon insisted, saying that he would not leave it to the mercy of someone he didn't trust. Just that fact along distressed her but now was time for sleep. She would not allow that to rob her of what was left of the night. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and dozed off into a exausted melaze of dream.
