In the Abyss, a world filled with fire and brimstone, several forms of Daemons exist, and among them are the Molochs. The Molochs are few in number compared to the Arcane Daemons who can sore high above the rivers of lava, puddles of acid and rocky terrain. Though the Arcane Daemons were somewhat skilled in hand to hand combat, their abilities to mould magic were unsurpassed.

Within the Abyss, the Molochs were seen as four armed abominations, only good for brute labour, and were strongly discriminated against. The other Daemonic Warriors knew of the strength of the Molochs but it was of little concern due to the fact that their speed was limited. Molochs were not nearly as quick as other Daemons and due to their inability to fly they could only resort to hand to hand combat. All inhabitants of the Abyss knew that if a Moloch were to get a hold of you, they could rip you to shreds… But because of their slow movement they were thought useless in combat. This thinking is what caused Molochs to be used as the labour force of the Abyss, the movers of rock, moulders of mountains. There were a few rare Molochs however, who would rise above this lack lustre form of life and prove themselves capable in battle.

Lucian, a young Moloch, was treated poorly by the Daemons of the Abyss. Shortly after birth, Molochs were put to work. They may not have been the smartest workers, but they were still strong at a young age. He started off serving the superior Daemonic races in anyway he could. In a world where existence was based on respect and power, Lucian was known as scum.

Over the years Daemons advanced and were moved in too more liveable spaces of the Abyss. These parts were places that the Molochs had shaped over centuries and built for the Arcane Daemons. Lucian watched as Daemons tortured and tormented banished beings from other planes. He watched them sore high above the terrain that he was bound to. Often while he worked, the young Arcane’s would hurl sulphur and rock at him from high above cackling and taunting him all along.

Lucian had always over heard rumours about Daemons who could travel to different planes. These were mainly the Daemon Lord’s and their favoured minions. They would wreak havoc and destruction on the other planes of existence and return to the Abyss. There was one plane some whispered the name of Sosaria. It was rumoured that the Daemon Lord Beleth himself left the Abyss for a lengthly time and joined a "cult" on this plane. Lucian never really knew whether or not to believe these stories or not. He couldn't believe there was any where else but the Abyss. He did find it odd however that being’s, even more insignificant than him, randomly arrived in the Abyss and claimed to have been banished. He figured these are where the rumours originated.

Probably the most pivotal time in the young Molochs existence was the day he was surrounded by a group of Arcane Daemons. They had taunted him for years, disturbed him during work and had a knack for reminding him how inferior he was. Three Daemons formed a triangle around Lucian, taunted him more and more. Simultaneously they casted spell’s at him, trying to knock him off balance. Lucian enraged, finally gave in to his primal instincts…

With a roar of rage that echoed off the surrounding mountains, he charged. It wasn't a very quick charge, but it was one that couldn't have been stopped by even a mountain. He crashed into the Daemon diagonal from him on his left. He grasped the Daemon by its head and hoisted him from the ground and he drove his hooves into the ground, planting himself firmly. Using his two lower arms he began to drive his fists and tear his claws across he foe's torso. Lucian could hear the two other's trying to attack him with effective spells. To the Molochs luck, the young Arcane Daemons had yet to learn very strong spells, he had also developed the extremely tough hide and the extremely quick healing rate that his race had. The spells could barely singe him. He grabbed the torso of the one he held onto while keeping a grip on the head. He then turned abruptly and threw the Daemon toward the one on Lucian’s right. The two crumbled to the ground, one completely unable to function. The Daemon to his rear turned and began to take off. Lucian took pursuit. The young Daemon had to take a second to prepare to lift off and sore into the air, but that was just enough time for the Moloch to grab a hold of a wing and tear him back down to the ground. Lucian’s claws dug into the wings, tearing them both down the center. He drove his fangs into the side of the Daemons neck, tearing the head from the torso. Growling loudly, full of adrenaline, he remembered there was a third. The last Daemon had just begun to stumble to his feet and had yet to find its balance before Lucian grabbed a hold of him. He lifted his enemy high into the air just above his head. Lucian then let out a horrific roar and heaved downwards impaling the body onto his thick horns.

The young Moloch had disposed of the three Arcane Daemons. After that point in his life he thought he could match up to any other Daemon in the Abyss. He knew he wasn't incapable… He could care less what the other Molochs thought. From that day on he sought to prove himself to the Daemon Lord Beleth, the Daemon Lord who could free him from the Abyss and swore fealty to him. He took on all challengers, and even issued challenges of his own to any Daemon in the Abyss. He proved himself time and time again.

The Moloch was no longer a young Moloch, but a fully developed one with combat abilities superior to most others. Lucian had earned the respect of most other Daemons, Arcane and Moloch alike. He worked his way through the ranks, proving to be one of the Beleth’s most worthy fighters. He was still a brute, but a well trained brute, used for far more than labour.

One day the Daemon Lord summoned Lucian to a private audience. He spoke of the rumours he had heard growing up, the rumours of travelling to other planes of existence… more specifically Sosaria. He told the Moloch of his involvement with a group of beings known as "Undead" and acting against "Humanity". It all seemed slightly confusing to the Moloch, he hadn't heard anything quite like it. The Daemon Lord explained how on the surface of this world some places were hot and others freezing cold, covered in ice. When he finished, the Daemon Lord informed Lucian that he would be returning to Sosaria to aid the Undead in taking over Sosaria. He informed the Moloch that overtime he would summon his followers to aid him in Sosaria… He told Lucian to prepare to leave the Abyss.

This was going to be a new beginning for the Moloch.
