The long days of summer have past and the short cold night of Winter had begun to erupt with blisterous winds. The caves held back the winds of the tremendous cold. It was here in the mines that the tombs read that his ancestors once came to the bright light of the sun to trade with the humans.

Day in and day out he looked over the mine walls interpretting the faded writing on the walls. As time passed and faith and hope were begining to dispurse, Clangeddin Silverbeard appeared before him pointing to a darkened corner of the mine. As he rubbed his eyes to assure he was seeing his diety, he heard Clangeddin speak to him in a soothing voice. "The time has been long and your journey has yet to begin" Clangeddin spoke as he pointed downward. Doolb lowered his head briefly feeling the wieght that was being asked of him. When Doolb lifted his head and looked up the presence was no longer there.

Doolb moved quikly to the corner on his knees and began to strike the ground with a small pickaxe digging up the soil and stone. He struck the ground ferociously and with haste for such the duration that blisters began to form and rupture within the grasp of the tool, blood trickled down the handle and he swung. As the hole deepened, the only thought was not to fail the one he served for his entire life, the one that bestowed this huge burden upon him.

Thoughts began to run rampid in his mind of the time he spent in this city reading scrolls and text. Not all of it could of been false he thought. The time he spent with the others like him before was glorious but ended abruptly as they all went upon thier own way. Images of his people being free to roam this place as they once did danced into his thoughts.

With out a wasted movement, he suddenly stopped swinging the tool. The handle crimson in color dropped to the side of the trench he had dug. As he peered into the rock and dirt filled trench, the silence became defeaning to the ears. Suddenly Doolb screamed out to the one called Clangeddin as he pounded the ground with his heavy fist.

The silence began to ring in his ears once more as he kneeled there in front of the hole he had dug into the bottom of the mine. He sat still for a moment then began to bring his hands to his head questioning if he had interpreted all his research properly? Did he do as Clangeddin ordered? In deep thought of all he had done a sound of a tumbling rock could be heard echoeing in the mine. He quikly looked around to look for another in the mine, none were to be found. His eyes began to search the walls looking for the sound hoping he was not bringing the walls down around him. The sound continued one after another until he felt a small tremor below him.

As he turned his attention to the mine floor before him it was then he saw the turmoil he had caused. The trech that was dug was now an entrance to another tunnel below him. Doolb stood, picking up his tool and looked down to the tunnel he had revealed. Slowly he turned and looked out to the entrance of the mine and spoke softly to himself as he began to walk from the hole he created.

"Come my brethren and walk this land once again. Minoc welcomes you brothers and sisters."
