Vanya made the long trip back to the Hanse's Hostel from Skara Brae discussing the events of the meeting with Lord Ramses, Lord Sun, Lady Onyx, and Lady Ishtar earlier that evening. Her gaurds, Aerie and Beriadan, as well as Vanya were extremely happy with the hand that was extended towards them. The gaurds escorted Vanya back to her room at the tavern and then waited patiently outside of the door for her to write a letter.
She sat down at her desk and pulled out a piece of partchment and began to write:
Aaye to the gracious people at the Hand of Ra:
This letter is in regards to the meeting in Skara Brae earlier this evening. For once it was comforting to see someone extending their hand and showing interest in what I have been attempting to create. My house is willing to provide your house with anything needed at anytime you wish, all you must do is send the word. Diola lle, again.
She folded the letter and wrote in her finest penmenship Aa’ menle nauva calen ar’ ta hwesta e’ ale’quenle and sealed it shut with an emblem of a large tree.
She opened the door to her small room and handed the paper to Beriadan. "I trust you to deliver this to the Palace of Ra. Go with haste, mellonamin." He turned and left, with Aerie trailing behind. Vanya went back into her room and lay down in her bed, looking forward to a sleep filled with dreams of her dear husband. _________________

Then Sosarian moons drifted to the horizon's edge, their bright bodies just touching the ocean as it lit the water and bathed the Warrior Temple in its silvery light.
Ramses, Pharaoh of HRA sat at his desk with a few candles burning thinking of his meeting with Lady Vanya when the sounds of someone arriving at the temple pulled him from his thoughts.
An attendant swiftly walked in and knelt before Ramses "Pharaoh, a letter has arrived from Lady Vanya Thenidiel."
"Ah , lets see what we have here" Said Ramses, indicating to the attendant to rise and to hand over the letter.
Carefully he opened the letter and began to pace as he read. His head began to nod with approval as he made his way to his desk.
"Wait a moment" he said to the attendant who nodded in return
Sitting down he penned a response.
Lady Vanya Thenidiel,
I am glad our meeting went as it did and it gladdens my heart to know that you feel as you do, I do greatly accept your offers of aid as I hope you accept ours.
In the future if you are in need and cannot reach the Queen, Lady Ishtar or myself please feel free to contact Lord Sun-Huo-zi or Lady Mischief for they have my deepest trust and confidence.
We can also help you in matters of crafting, Magery and Warfare for self defence.
I look forward with much more interaction with you and your guild in the near future
Tenna' ento lye omenta
Yours,
Ramses
Pharaoh, Hand of Ra
Rolling the papyrus letter and sealing it in a messenger tube, Ramses rose and walked over the waiting attendant.
"See that this reaches the Lady Vanya Thenidiel" he instructed
The attendant dutifully bowed and left the room.
Ramses slowly walked to the balcony of his office to look out over the bay. He folded his arms in his red robes as he took in the beauty of the sea before him. In the distance he could make out the Isle of Skara Brea and beyond that the endless sea
"Now,."he thought. "Lets see what's on that horizon" _________________ "Sometimes it's profound, sometimes... it's fritos" |
