The mid day sun was shinning brightly on the roof top garden of the Warrior Temple. Its light played in concert with the lively fountain creating a dazzling display on its waters.
Ramses sat at his customary low table taking care of the mountains of papyrus that never seemed to go away no matter how hard he tried. He looked up from the desk and gazed arose the ocean and let his mind wander.

His thoughts turned to Lady Vanya Thenidiel and Amar en'Cala'qurssir. The new guildmistress seemed to be of good virtue and eager to build relations and friendships within the community as a whole, something that appealed to Ramses since he was once in the same situation. The Hand of Ra has since become an organization of some importance and his focus was to bring other guilds and help them build as well.

He looked down and pulled out a blank papyrus and set an idea in motion.

Lady Vanya Thenidiel and Amar en'Cala'qurssir, Greetings.
I pray this letter finds you and yours in good heath and prosperity.

I have sent this letter via my Emissary Lord Sun-huo-zi and Lady Mischief of the Horus Order to convey my intentions of offering our hand in helping you establish diplomatic relations with the Regency and the Royal Court of Light and of course the Hand of Ra itself.
At your convenience I suggest we meet and discuss our organizations and ways in which to build strong bonds between our guilds. I hope you see the advantage of such a meeting.
Please feel free to talk to my Emissaries about HRA and details of a meeting because the are some of our more trusted members.

After placing the letter in a royal messenger tube and sealing it with a cartouche signet, he walked downstairs and had an attendant call for both Lord Sun and Lady Mischief and waited for them to arrive in his office.
They arrived moments later.
They both entered his office and kneeled.
"Rise" Ramses said and he gestured for them to sit. " Sun, M...I have a mission for you both"
"What do you require of the Medjei. Sire?" said Sun in his usual low reserved voice. Mischief nodded his greeting to the Pharaoh as he sat next to Sun.
"I think it would be prudent for us to extend a hand of friendship to Lady Vanya Thenidiel and Amar en'Cala'qurssir" replied Ramses handing the messenger tube to Sun. "I remember when we were all alone and not sure who to call as friend...I would not have others to suffer as we did"
"I remember " said Sun as he accepted the tube and made it disappear within his robes in a fluid motion. Turning to Mischief he explained "It was not an easy time for HRA, but we prevailed."
"Aye, that we have" Mischief added.
"You will travel to Malas and seek out Amar en'Cala'qurssir and talk to Lady Vanya and deliver the letter you carry Sun to her" Sun nodded.
"Both of you will represent HRA and its intentions to open relations with these folk, make ready and leave when you both are supplied"
"Understood my Lord" said Sun and he rose making a motion for Mischief to follow.
"M, Sun"
Both stopped and turned.
"Be careful and be mindful, there are some out there who do not like the idea of elf talking to elf and remeber that you represent the Regency and RCL, not to mention HRA." he said with a slight smile.
"We will, my Lord " Sun replied as both returned the smile and then continued on their way.
Ramses sat back and folded his arms. He exhaled slowly.
Now he had only to wait.

It was late when Lady Vanya saw Lord Sun-huo-zi and Lady Mischief enter the Hanse's Hostel. She sit by the fire enjoying a soothing cup of tea when they both approached her. Immediately she recognized them, but she did not know from where. She flashed a warm inviting smile their way.

Lord Sun-huo-zi and Lady Mischief told Lady Vanya of their reasons for seeking her out. The elf, although composed, was excited to have been recieving a letter. She opened the partchment and slowly translated the words from common to elven in her head.

A bright smile flashed across her face as she gently folded up the partchment. Her mind ran with glee that her husband's wishes were being fufilled. She quickly turned to the messengers and said:


" I ask that you both travel safely back to Lord Ramses and send word that I would be delighted to accept his offer. Tell him I will travel any lengths to meet with him. Go with haste, for I wish not to keep him waiting."

The two messengers nodded and turned to begin their journey when Lady Vanya stood and softly spoke beautiful words to them.

"Aa’ menle nauva calen ar’ ta hwesta e’ ale’quenle. Namaarie."

She smiled warmly and nodded them off, hoping they understood her warm wishes.

After they left she sat back near the fire in the cold hostel, ignoring the sounds of drunken arguments outside and felt warm with happiness. For the first time in a while she felt good about the path she had taken. She sat and thought about the times to come and the joy it would bring her dear husband to know what she was doing.
