The Queen after the meeting with Regency was frustrated with the offers to get her sister back. She anxiously was drumming her fingers ona her desk and was starign at the pile of documents before her. She was getting behind on her work and was too upset to care. With a deep breath she decided to attempt a more diplomatic solution to the problem. Picking up a fresh sheet of papyrus and her quill she began to write:

Dear Lady Ceinwyn ab'Arawn,

I am writing you to propose that we meet on nuetral territory to negotiate the return of my sister. I know she is being held in Umbra. My main concern is getting her back safely. Please contact me as soon a spossible so we may arrange a meeting.

She gently rolled up the message and sealed it then encased it in a golden cylander and summoned a messanger. "I need you to go to Umbra and take this message to Lady Ceinwyn. You must go quickly. If possible wait for a response as well"

"Yes, my lady." She bowed and took the message as wellas the coins the Queen handed her for the trip. She stood and carefully left the Queens chamber and made her way en route.

Ceinwyn ab'Arawn was pacing back and forth, back and forth across the tiles of the Sepulcher, much the way that gruff officer Triest had done. She was frustrated and angry. Sure, she could ransom the elven princess, but what did the Hand have that she or Umbra could possibly want...

Then she remembered the spell that Ishtar had mentioned. The lycanthropy ritual. It would be a perfect addition to her library. A copy of such would be treasured. She wondered if she could use the princess to bargain for it.

Then the teleporter lighted and she spun to face the arrival of the woman. Noting the foreign garments and the presence of skin tone, Ceinwyn realized she was from outside of Umbra. She took quick strides to greet the woman.

A messenger. With a message. From the Hand.

Ceinwyn broke open the seal on the letter so quickly, she received a papercut in the process. Hissing, she brought it to her mouth, as she unrolled the letter. She waved her hand in the air quickly, cursing the insolent wound, waiting for it to heal. Her eyes scanned the letter.

A meeting, eh? This might be what I need...

She penned a response to the "Queen".

Queenie,

I'm willing to meet, if you are. You want her back? I might be willing to release her to you for a transcribed into common version of the lycanthropy cure.

By all means, arrange a meeting.

*practically chicken scratch*

She rolled the response up and stuffed it into the cannister. She gave it to the messenger and ushered her to the teleporter. The messenger appeared to be waiting for something.. Ceinwyn realized she hadn't tipped the go-between.

"Make haste! Know where you tread, fool! This is Umbra, be glad you leave with your head."

She shoved the girl onto the teleporter.

Her messenger came up the stairs into her chambers in a rush with the cylander..."My Lady, her reply." The Queen took it from her and read it..."Hmm." She picked up more papyrus and penned a reply:

Lady Ceinwyn ab'Arawn,

I would like to discuss this meeting, however the spell you speak of would be something only my sister would know. More than likely she would be the only one who can decipher it as well.
I will be willing to negotiate terms, but I regret to say i cannot make an exchange for something I do not have, nor would I know where it would be.

The Queen sealed the note and put it back in its casing. Giving the girl more money and bode her on her way.
