Merc guilds are a blast! My experience? I was a member of the Rogues of Mystin, we all had houses outside of Yew, and played rogues, living off the land and working for hire. It was fun, but you won't be accepted by the rp community. We were in the battle of Britain, fought over Cove with our friends B-H, and looked good doing what we did. Line up, formation, everyone with an assigned duty and healing partner, etc.
If you do it, and PvP worth a flip, everytime you fight anyone anywhere, you will have a 5 min battle and a 5 hour b#$ch fest afterwards from all the GMs of the guilds you were fighting against.
There will be enough griping, that you will eventually give it up and leave.
