Deep within the forests of Yew, in the realm where death falls like rain, and corpses riddle the dried grass, where stone crumbles with the wind, the dead fragments of a long-forgotten fortress are disturbed by a faint movement.

Within the main chamber, not far from the skeletal remains of half a humanoid corpse, the shadow of a being shifted restlessly. Eyes like a piercing yellow light slitted open, scowling at first, then dimmed. Whatever being lay behind emptiness there seems to have awakened. The stone floor frosted over as the shadow fell upon it.
