Thank you to everyone that came this evening. It made me very happy to see so many of our friends in one place. Again, thank you.

Thank you Moonglow, Umbrians and Orcs for giving us one night of peace... does this mean if we have a wedding every night it will remain quiet? Very Happy

I think it was cool when Vaen protested, I even have all the screenshots. Haha. In my book, that realistic protest made it almost the best wedding ever. Shame you all took it seriously ooc. Wasn't godmoded.

Though, it still can't compare with orcs killing Tarothin's bride, moments before the wedding.

I was hoping Moonglow would show.. so we could fight them, cus I mean yeah it's about time Mallory! Hehe 4 years and the poor girl got stepped on by her men. Even Ceinwyn would have acted as a defender at the wedding!

Nobody went OOC but some got extremely upset over it OOC.

Unsuprised. Personally, half of it was roleplay closure, and half of it was a dramatest. I told Vaen that it'd implode and be more people flipping out at him than not and he'd regret it, and I was right on the money.

Then again, I suppose the first three words of my post are somewhat inaccurate, as Vaen could hardly walk away from blackguard for being ICQ bombarded.

Non scripted roleplay on Atlantic is great. Your standard low quality roleplayer sees roleplay that is not scripted and is not without-a-doubt in the favor of said poor roleplayer and his friends, and FLIPS THE CRAP OUT.

And so many wonder why I am so serious about not returning this time. It is literally impossible to do the simplest thing: Make a character, have no OOC messengers, tell nobody who you are and give nobody contact information and simply roleplay as your character feels. You will be ignored because you are unguilded. You can't exist without everyone suspecting that you are someones alt... What does it MATTER if you play a different character? Are you unable to roleplay with someone because you don't know who they are out of the game? And, as this experience proves, you simply cannot do unscripted roleplay, unless it is kissing someones arse or completely harmless to the collective egoes of all that are present.

It is simply mind boggling how a roleplay community has slipped so far away from ROLEPLAY. By definition roleplaying is assuming the attitudes, actions, and discourse (style of verbal communication) of another. Think a moment, and understand that most of the 'roleplayers' of this community are roleplaying themselves in the game, a perfect version of their OOC self. That is why they get so pissed off when everything doesn't go their way, because they feel you are OOC'ly attacking their real life.

Now, I think I delivered my message without repeating it several times, and I did not name names nor troll anyone, as it is a reasonable discussion. I didn't even swear, though the filter would pick it up, so thankfully I have made a post that warrants no moderation. Back to lurking.

Steve almost covered all of it. But if I say anymore in that aspect, I may get more threatening ICQs that promise more bodily harm on me. And even though the comical level of that would be interesting, it's not worth even more drama.

The wedding was nice. I enjoyed it. I verified everything I was going to do with Mal. I carried it out.

The place was nicely decorated. The shrine crystal balls were a nice touch for a Paladin wedding. Spawn, I actually got the number of your date while you weren't tending to her. Sorry bro. I'll be sure she's well-oiled Wink

hehe, First off, beautiful wedding. And as I said last night....about dang time Gailan and Mallory finally got married.

And yes for those curious, I did get ALL the grass out of my hair hehe. Cat you're so adorable Very Happy

And as far as the objection during the ceremony, I think it went well. We can't always have a perfect world and well...ummm...it was kinda awkward for me to see a more sensitive side to Vaen hehe.

Ha..ya one of the best weddings..I dont think I've ever seen anyone protest..I'd say Mals wedding and Taros are the two best...I'll never forget taro, mave and the other best men mounting up JUST before the wedding and changing into their armor..raiding orcs..getting ditto..than rushing back to the wedding.

Mal's wedding had some memorable interuptions.. and yes it's ashame people felt it was ignorant OOC..lighten up foo's...atleast he didn't run up and kiss her :O

For those interested, yes it was cleared with me ahead of time, and I was asked not to say anything, which I did. I did not expect it to explode the way it did, and well... yeah.
