Deep in a dark tower in the land of murderers and thieves a dark ritual took place. It is a ritual like none other. Smogg had long desired to have a servant from the spirit world come forth and serve as a spy.

The storms were growing heavier and the wind outside howled loud enough to cover the sounds of screams and the dying. After many hours of chanting, the ritual was finaly finished and a deep void apeared in the center of the altar large enough for a man to walk through. But such was a gateway from the void itself. Moments passed and nothing came. Just as Smogg was about to apear disgusted at all his hard work, a figure apeared.

"Who has summoned me?" the spirit asked. Smogg could only grin as he reconized the voice. Smogg had to make sure all was well before answering though. The void was still open and the spirit could easily turn back. He had to delay the spirit to give the gateway time to close.

"I am your new master and I have summoned you to do my will." Smogg said in a commanding tone.

The gateway began to collapse as the spirit replied with: "I am a nameless soul that only serves the lord of the void and not one who has bound me to this realm."

"I have the one thing you desire, only I can grant you freedom from the void. Only through me will you know your former self." Smogg said with more eagerness than command.

The Spirit stoped short of entering the collapsing gateway. It thought for a moment, a moment it could not afford. It chose to stay and allowed the gateway to disapear. It turned to Smogg. "Who am I?"

Smogg knew nothing would cost him his prize. The spirit was his and he made sure the spirit had only enough information to do his will alone. "Serve me, and I will answer your questions over time. Serve me not, and you shall never know."

The Spirit could do nothing but slowly nod. "As you wish....Master"

Only a coward would scoff at a BlackWind and run. It is the fool who stays to fight one.
