Yes, that client looks very sexy and incredibly enchanced from the original UO client. One thing that I am wondering though, is that if they really are bringing out a new client but are having all the old items from the previous into this one, wouldn't that mean that you could probrably still play the old client even though the new one is out?
Just wondering. _________________ AKA: Gryss ab'Arawn

No, because they will stop patching and updating the old one. _________________

I doubt it will be as laggy as WoW ever is. The graphics remind me of lineage actualy...sorta.. Somewhere between 1 but close to 2 |

AFAIK its neither: 3D was more or less a modified 2D client that merely used different graphics for critters. And that old client was a bit... patchy, so to speak.
UO:KR will be completely new client. They will stop using the old clients.
I mostly hope the new client allows us to customize our characters as much as the old ones (dyeing clothing, etc) and that the talks and emotes stay over the heads of the characters. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

I sincerely admit it. I really hope they figure a way to keep the basic "looks" of our characters, and have maybe a one time adjustment due to new graphics. Silly, but can you imagine if we can't? |

You know what would be really cool if you customize your character like you can with UO assist so it looks like some of the creatures to everyone instead of just your own view of your character. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel

Lag from WoW = too many people
Lag from UO = poor client.
Its much easier to fix the former..
I just hope for your guys sake that this doesnt go the way of UO2. _________________ As the fire fades to night, remember always the ember that started it all. |

time will tell I guess, though they have a nasty history streak of not delivering these promises they make.
but yes a new client would do loads of good for the over flow of the game (scripts, modules, ie)
but will these new client fix AOS _________________ After all these years, I'm still putting up with Kuja and Vaen? whats wrong with me?

Well, the main difference between a new client for UO and UO2 is: The client has already the player, while UO2 would have been a new game with a new playerbase.
I personally am optimistic that it will be delivered, and naive enough to hope that it will be at least as customizable as the old one with better graphics.
But that might also be all the ale that my char drunk, made his players brain a bit spongy. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs

I didn't leave UO because of poor graphics

If there were to be one thing that would have decided whether I stayed in UO or not, I would have stayed for the graphics... 2D was fresh and new in a classical way. It was revolutionary because it wasn't. I loved 2D. |

smiles sweetly
I stay simply for the people, I mean I have met some really great people and made good friends here. Tries to keep from getting sappy As long as they dont take our characters from us, make it to hard for our computers to run it, is really unimportant to me what they do graphics wise though-

Noobs.
That new client does look quite appetizing. I may have to poke my head in a bit more than I am now... _________________ "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne."
