My my, how long have I been behind these bars? Days, a week? The only two witnesses are incompetent. The true witness was drunk off to the point it stunk up my robe. They didnt even catch me in the act of me raising any dead.

He gave off a faint laughter, but was shortly silenced but the guard near by.

Ahh, it amuses me how they treat me. They give me one meal and then let me rot here till the court date. Milk and a piece of chicken will only last so long. Mistreatment of prisoners, its a pity. Is this how they repay us for what we have done for these humans? All that we have taught them?

Before he could say another word his growling stomach interupted.

I wonder if the family has heard of this mistreatment yet? No matter, should be interesting to see them persicute me when their witness was a complete drunk.

Mairail began to laugh uncontrolable to the point not even the guards shouting could make him silence.

((RP Note: italics = him thinking))

Not long before the trial now. It should be quite interesting to see how it goes. Not to mention they finaly remember to feed me. Tho that is after they are forced to come down to the cells again toss another in.

Mairail stretched then sat up from the wooden stool. After letting out a soft sigh he started to pace in the cell

With this place so against certian things I know it wont be a fair trial. The only fair trial I call fair is using outsiders whom have nothing to do with this place.

He clentched and unclentched his guantlet.

Only a matter of time till they find out...

Aeloth stood atop the mountains of Northern Malas, contimplating Mairal's imprisonment. The night before, Aeloth had heard from his niece Alythrae that one of the family had been taken into custody for practicing the Black Arts. After many failed attempts to reason with the lowborn, Aeloth had lost his patience.

"Damnable lowborn, it is concerning to see such an incompetent breed in a position of power. The Elves have been second-class for far too long.." Aeloth spoke to himself as he looked down the mountainside towards Luna.

"As foolish as they may be, perhaps they are capable of reason." Aeloth stroked his chin in thought.

"I shall grace Sanctus with my presence once more, they will have the benefit of the doubt." Aeloth paused a moment before continuing his monologue, almost enjoying the sound of his own voice. "This is a prime example of why the lowborn cannot lead, it is time for the kin to rise. If Mairal cannot be freed, he shall become a martyr; A symbol for our cause."

Aeloth walked down the mountainside, it was time to gather the kin.

"How uncle talked to that witness was like art in the making. Truely inspiring."

Mairail stopped walking and looked up to the sky. He let off a slight grin then leaned up against a tree.

"So if found guilty they wish to burn me upon a pyre? They will gain no satisfaction of screams or even a hint of pain if they do so."

"We will rise above these lowborn again.."

He slid down the tree to a sitting position. Slipping a small book out of his robe he began a little casual reading.
