Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a man named Aldrim. The trees whispered to him, the wind carried him along on his way to wherever he was going, and the earth created paths through mountains when they heard of his coming their way. Aldrim was a Druid... a Druid who believed that nature was a tool to be used by the wise people who had the power to use it. He loved nature for it provided him with everything he had... and then his world broke into a thousand pieces.
The Drow of the world Aldrim lived in, invaded the forests in which he lived, and burned them to the ground in an attempt to kill Aldrim. As the vines sprung from the ground to strangle the drow warriors, and the birds came from the skies to pluck out eyes, Aldrim fell to the ground with an arrow pierced through him. The heavens began to weep as Aldrim's druidic blood seeped out of his wounds, soaking the ground under him. The skies fell in the form of acid rain and burned the attackers until all were gone... and Aldrim cried out. "I have much more life to live, though this one may have ended... I shall be carried to another to do good and help others. I will not die to the vile creatures that are the Drow." is what he said with his last breath in this world. A white light surrounded him.
Aldrim woke up on the floor of a forest very different from his own, wearing naught but a kilt. He looked about, hearing sounds of people speaking from not far off. Pixies fluttered around him for a moment and then disappeared into the air. Aldrim was dizzy... and wasn't sure where he was. All he knew was his name. He stumbled towards the forest's edge and fell forward, nausea and confusion overtaking him. He laid unconscious on the floor of this forest, near the edge, knowing nothing of his former strength, nothing of his past... only that he was called Aldrim. He waited for someone to discover him... |
